We're going to have a rash (I use the word advisedly) of headlines about how terrible it's going to be to leave the EU now, leading up to the final crunch.

No point in arguing each and every detail, especially when the arguments have been done to death over the last four years.

The Remain crowd are going to push as hard as they can for us to pass control back to the EU "for our own good".

The EU are going to push as hard as they can for us to pass control back to the EU for their own good.

It remains a simple fact that our long term economic well being depends on independent control of tariffs, trade, taxation and regulation. Concessions on state aid, level playing fields, regulation and third party trade deals are all to our long term detriment, though they might be dressed up in terms of limiting short term pain.

No doubt concessions will be made. The question is what? The alternative remains to walk, and I'm seeing little evidence that it would be worse than agreeing to a bad deal.

Plenty of practice, so shouldn't present that many problems.

Jazzer's going to be busy over the next two and a half months, I'm sure there will be plenty more bad news stories to post up between now and the end of the year, he's like ///ajd/Gloria Slap was back in 2016/17/18, and like many more were at the end of 2019.

The closer December gets the more desperate the opposers will become.
Suppose this is my fault too?

Boris is going to look rather silly if he does not keep to his deadline, that's the problem with making them, especially when dealing with the EU who have never been in a hurry.

Your fault for bringing an irrelevance into the thread?

You brought Farage up, I didn't

I can bring up whomever I wish.

If you're embarrased by Nigel Farage (Brexit champion - as per the article) thats your issue.

Perhaps in mid November we can start talking about that other anti EU nut - Marc Francois.

Farage thread is here: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

You can bring up who you like, and I have zero reason to be embarrassed by Farage, what he does has nothing to do with me.

As I mentioned earlier Farage is irrelevant.

What happens in mid-November that's relevant to Francois and stops you talking about him now?

Personnally I think he's a fking idiot.

If he thinks he's qualified to run a tip sheet or financial education service, he's a fking dangerous idiot. To be honest, I don't actually think he knows what he plans to do here, financial freedom? Wheres the capital coning from, buy gold and silver? Tit.

His financial services background was a broker, so effectively leached off others execution flow, capital and trade ideas. Oh, and he worked for Refco, his CV suggesting during the period they were in full scandal mode.

Thats the longest of his speeches I've listened too, and still think he's a .

Gotta say, I'm loving the frothing today - some people are way too emotionally invested in the outcome.

And as an aside, does anyone else think that photoshop of Farage above make him look like Warwick Davis?

Farage really has remained under the skin of the frothers, four years on from his victory and still he is the cause of deep resentment in the former remainers. smile Why some continue to post in here about his old and new exploits must offer some form of tension release ?
