So Starmer’s own lawyer is basically saying Starmer hasn’t done enough to respond to his report on anti semitism within the Labour Party despite his glossy press conference where he implied otherwise. That’s what you get with Starmer totally superficial ?

Being critical of Israel and it's policies is not anti Semitic, despite how much some people try and spin it to appear that way.
Well said. Just ignorance.

Having spent many painful hours with Parish Councils they'd fit in fine.

Starmer might have a couple of brain cells to rub together but goodness he has a terrible team around him. If the equivalent Tories are just mad, his lot are just plain thick.

Weren't Labour in favour of dropping or extending LTA 6 months ago?
As highlighted to that awful John Ashworth by Jeremy Vine on R2 at lunch today.

Utterly flummoxed and for once, temporarily out of froth.
That will happen when you don't have a consistent position on anything
Caught Rachel Reeves, Shadow Chancellor? On BBC breakfast, she was asked several times what Labour would do in response to the budget she just kept parroting “the Tories have been in power 13 years”

You could tell the interviewer was getting frustrated with her non answers and refusal to offer any alternative… just grrrr Tories

The thought of her in charge of the country’s finances really isn’t inspiring at all, in fact it’s mildly terrifyinglaugh

And that for me is labour’s problem … it’s full of clueless clowns and muppets that aren’t fit to run a parish council let alone a country

And Lammy as foreign secretary?

Jesus wept and it goes on

The current lot might be st but the the next lot might be the entire sewage works throwing it out at us through muck spreaders
Agree spot on
If you're forced to chew on the same turd for long enough a different flavour of turd starts to seem appealing.

Sir Starmer shrank completely at the pre-budget PMQ. Outgunned by skinny Rishi

Time for a new leader ?

He's 60, so guess he will plan to do no more than 2 terms as PM after the GE. Time for the next leader to establish themselves before handing on the baton.

I still wonder why Nick Griffin endorsed Labour and JC in 2017. At a time when Starmer was supportive of JC...

Let's face it, like many leaders, he only got the gig because they had literally no one else with half a brain cell.

Rishi got the job for the same reason, after they'd tried someone without half a brain cell.

I'm not a Conservative supporter, but I actually think Rishi is probably the pick of his generation of tory MPs.

In the grand scheme of things it's one of Nick Griffin's lesser failings, and he's far from alone in doing so, but it must be even more exhausting writing swivel-eyed paranoid right-wing statements than it is to read them. Every sentence is three times longer than it has to be because every noun has to have at least three epithets in front of it - it can never be the media, it's always the "lamestream, out-of-touch, Zionist-dominated Media". The elites are always "globalist, liberal-left, urban" and so on. And then you have to work out which words are going to get the antisemitic parentheses, which ones are going to get quote marks, which ones Are going to Be Randomly CAPitalised and when in a sentence about Middle Eastern foreign policy you're going to spear off into a rant about how women get treated to leniently by the divorce system.

To be fair, the far left is the same - "lick-spittle fascist running dogs" "reactionary, capitalist imperialist" etc. Loons the lot of them

I appreciate it’s a local election, but their campaign leaflets locally don’t look world class to me.

Their polls are a bit strange, 16% two weeks ago then a jump to 23% then back to 10%. Looking back it is almost as if they have two completely different groups of people answering the question.
