I think half of them are now pretending they never liked him anyway.

The other half are on Twitter where Islamophobia and Rachel Riley are trending. It'll be interesting to see if he gets any support from fellow MPs.

There’s nothing sane about that, it’s just the right kind of froth for your liking.

Ultimately all froth is froth, even if it’s coming from “your side”.

Froth? Someone made a joke and I found it funny. Perhaps you need to chill out a bit laugh

4 years ago Jeremy said he regrets calling Hamas and Hezbollah 'friends'. That's OK then.

What is it that you are thinking a genuinely working class person wants of a party?
You'd have to ask them that. My perception is that they don't have a logical home in the way they might have done in the past and that Tories and Labour occupy a fairly narrow centre ground.

I handed in my labour card the moment Corbyn won the leadership. Hard to know who has done more damage to the country, JC or Boris. Still not convinced labour can come back from this, but a step in the right direction.

The Campaign Against Antisemitism - the group that originally took the complaints to the EHCR have submitted a list of MPs who they believe contributed to the problem:

  • Diane Abbott
  • Tahir Ali
  • Mike Amesbury
  • Apsana Begum
  • Richard Burgon
  • Barry Gardiner
  • Kate Hollern
  • Afzal Khan
  • Rebecca Long Bailey
  • Angela Rayner
  • Steve Reed
  • Lloyd Russell-Moyle
  • Barry Sheerman
  • Zarah Sultana
This is the next challenge for Starmer. Will he act?

Has Starmer acted on this, which the media have been relatively quick to drop.

It was after all Labour's sophisticated and highly educated Deputy Leader at play.

Someone will be along shortly to claim that Starmer is biding his time, waiting for the perfect time to act.

Isn't that list the entire Corbyn inner circle (excluding McDonnell)?

I really hope he does leave and start another party. All the imbeciles can go with him and maybe Labour can return to a more sensible stance rather than the gibbering lunacy we've endured from them for the past few years.

Not a popular view within N,P&E but I want Labour to be a credible alternative again as I've said before.

My favourite quote about Burgon was along the lines of if there were a village full of village idiots, he'd be their village idiot. laugh

Firstly that is a credible view on here and one shared by many / most. Apart from the utter clowns on the Boris thread talking about 'Boris Ultra's' you will find little steadfast support for the Torys here and in fact most can see they are crap but up until today a better alternative to the lunatics on the left.

Secondly, yes, I hope he does form a breakaway party too, so it can be like 1997 again when all the dheads got into speed garage and then D&B became good again & you could have a night out without the stabbings & CS gas going off. Basically he's like a st racist pied piper and I hope he takes the loonies that have effectively let the Torys run riot for the last 5 years off the edge of a metophorical cliff into oblivion.

I think you'll struggle to find anyone who doesn't agree that a credible opposition is essential, & not having one ultimately sucks for all of us.
