As above. No savings criteria on the new JSA, just Universal Credit.
Good to know, I'm surprised the UC checker didnt ask if i was looking for work and a previous NI payer so could claim JSA.
I bet i am not the only one to make that mistake as UC has been the go to system in the media.

Is there likely to be anything introduced in regards to parking fees?
They want you to avoid public transport which for places like London is kind of impossible to avoid as driving and parking is ridiculously expensive.

Surely if they want people to drive to work then they should do away with the crazy parking charges?

We are in the middle of Basil Fawlty running the government during a pandemic, except no one is laughing..
In other news, local leopard continues to keep same spots.
You think the Government has done a good job then?
Johnson, not you biggrin

Aren't you the one who stopped your child seeing their own mother during lockdown, now you're jumping at the chance to send them back to school?

Seems like it was just about point scoring against your ex then. Terribly sad, for your kid.
Yes that’s right, I stopped the cross contamination of our household when none of us knew what was going on. And now we’re past the peak the contact has resumed.

I don’t need to score any points, I won custody in court 5 years ago. You sound like one of those butt-hurt Dads off Fathers 4 Justice. I make informed decisions about What’s best for my childs health.

Now that we know this has all been a huge overreaction and that Kids aren’t really affected by Covid and coupled with the fact I could really do with getting back to work I’d be willing to send her back to school.

What a brilliant suggestion. It is the sensible and logical thing to do at the time of a national emergency.

So, of course they won't do it. Expect the council to have their parking nazis out in force again from mid-week.

Read reply above. Insult at the end also applies to you.

Yup not that at all. Continue working at home.
Although I have never been impressed with boris until tonight. Quite a powerful, competent delivery of the Govt message. He even tamed his hair biggrin
Think I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt , he in a no win situation and can't please em all , although at times it looks like he can't please anyone , I wouldn't like the job
You must have watched a different broadcast from the one I saw. He seemed deranged to me.
I think it must be your TV.

In the difficult circumstances I thought he handled it quite well.
Yep, decent under the circumstances and I’m absolutely not a Boris fan.

UC is the platform to claim so it is confusing a bit.

Plonker here is you. The head of the Family Court has made it clear that CV was not a reason to unilaterally stop custody arrangements.

I know of a couple of companies who have furloughed some staff but have still had them in working to save money.
Good luck to them when HMRC send out a letter to all their employees....

'Dear employee of XYZ Ltd

Please note it is a criminal offence to reply to this letter falsely etc

Did you work during furlough- Yes/No'

Very easy for the Government to get their money back.

So glad we took full advantage of the lovely weather this weekend. It is going to be rammed down here every sunny weekend from now on. Great for local business and therefore the local economy...Talking to some of the local holiday food and drink businesses they have all been planning to open for takeaways etc in the next couple weeks. Those who have already been open have been doing a roaring trade with the locals. The chippy in the harbour was doing a roaring click and collect trade over the weekend.
