Possible only if the (original) Imperial model is correct, which it isn't. The only thing which is clear is that everyone involved in formulating and implementing policy has screwed up.
It's not clear, and the "everyone" exaggeration / generalisation is enough to disregard that dreck.

The graphs to end of yesterday Sunday 10th May are continuing to show number of cases increasing steadily but number of deaths per day beginning to level off - although now well over 30,000 frown
Beware Bank holiday weekend figures - they may catch up over next few days

On Primary Schools, we have at least two weeks of learning from how other European countries manage the return.

You might have got it wrong at first, but you've had several weeks to fix this and do the right thing (by your child, if not your ex) .

You wouldn't be the first or the last parent brought back to Family Court. Even now, they are sitting and doing telephone hearings. I'm sure the Judge will try not to do an eye-roll as you claim that you were "putting my kid first"
I definitely didn’t get it wrong at first, I did what I thought was best and will do it again if necessary. Health and well-being comes before any contact.

You must have a poor understanding of family court, court in general to be honest if you think a phone call could have any bearing on contact. laugh

You must not have read what I wrote. Go back and try again. My 12 year old was fine with the situation by the way and understood it was for the best. It seems a 12 year old is smarter than some of you...

Not just the French, but all travellers arriving from France.

Possibly an EU wide deal has been agreed on non-quarantine.

Telling people to go back to work, avoid public transport, use cars or cycles or walking ought to be s real kick up the rear to Sadiq Khan to suspend congestion charge, emisalon charge and parking fees / restrictions. What's the betting he won't shift a millimetre.

I still don't see how what's happening will deal with the issue that changes perfectly feasible for an area with low infections low R, but not suitable for a geographically close area with much higher infections and transmissions.

Unless they really are admitting much of it is now within hospitals, care homes etc.
In the interests of fairness, it must be pointed out that congestion and emission charges have been suspended since 23rd March.

Not true. There a lots of people who want to go back to work. But I suppose if you are on a government sponsored holiday then you might be more inclined to want that to continue.

Interesting chat with Raab on Radio 4. Still a mixed bag that should have been sorted from the go. I suppose better information with the document today, problems of splitting the info delivery times and getting clear concise messaging through the department heads.

That occurred to me, it’s a reciprocal arrangement with the French but in the face of things seems pointless, if quarantine measures are there to protect us why make exceptions? If you’re right, then presumably I could fly or drive to France and then onto any other EU destination?

TBF I think that, of any poster here, TB is the least likely to be "pissing his nappy". In fact I believe he abhors those who just continually piss their nappies.

Well, an explanation of why reception and Y1 (the least able to social distance) and Y6 (whose exams have already been cancelled) would be useful.

I was quite looking forward to seeing my Y10s and Y12s in a couple of weeks and I have no idea why that's been pushed back to the end of June. I am still running online lessons with them (just setting up to do one at 10am now) but it's not the same.

All BS. First, Family Court judges are sitting. Today. My friend has had to cough up another £200+ to get the ex (who acted like you) in front of the court to explain cutting off contact. If the judge makes an order, contact will definitely restart (there has previously been a penal notice due to your type of shenanigans).

And the last bit - is simply parental alienation. (Of course, if your 12yo had decided that she did want to see her mother, you wouldn't be thinking she was smart, and you'd have explained that she was wrong, through her tears.) The courts are only slowly coming around to seeing that for what it is: https://www.parklaneplowden.co.uk/news/the-courts-...

But this is a distraction from this thread, so I'll leave it. But it's proof that a lot of people hear what they want to hear in this crisis, and use it to further their own interests. frown
