I agree, this won’t go away for a long time. The government has gone to far with defending him and potentially has done irreparable damage to their credibility.

This government is copying a lot of the Trump playbook. For them, lots of scandals are just forgotten about 2 days later, when the next scandal rolls around. That seems to be how the world is now...

Trump tactics don’t work as well in Britain. We don’t easily forget.
