Jason Charter, Antifa leader (or, at least one of them) has been arrested by the FBI.

He was arrested a week ago and charged today.
Criminal complaint makes no reference to Antifa and police source only says he "has connections to Antifa"

What I don't understand is that there's the political BLM group which people have now distanced themselves from, and the notion of black lives mattering which the ordinary may on the streets should be standing up for, but which are violent protesters acting in the name of?

And having a stroke according to the protesters. Did he even survive? Nobody know as the news is not covering the bits which goes against the narrative.
He was white, old and therefore likely to be a racist - maybe nazi?

White guilt is in overdrive at the moment - to the point where being white is considered a crime.

How anyone can think this form of racism is defusing racial tensions and will result in a better future for our kids is mind-boggling

The left's agenda is not for any defusing of racial tensions, it is to maintain them and propagate them in to mass civil unrest.
This agenda is part of the ideological left in wanting to oppose capitalism and centre/centre right government.
All in time for the upcoming election of course.
But I mention in other similar threads that the silent majority will surely look at all this left wing debacle and surely vote for anything but Democrat.

And this is what won it despite the polls in 2016, Sensible and reasonable Trump voters know that telling people they are voting Trump will get the rabid lefties frothing and if you argue with an idiot that only makes two idiots. Polls don't account for the silent majority.

To clarify, the above is not an endorsement of Trump but more a rejection of the leftist movement that the Democrats have become.

Long gone are the days of a moderate like Obama.

And so it seems to be. But the million dollar question is, why?

I don’t feel guilty for the colour of my skin. I’m not guilty for the sins of my fathers.

What I don’t understand is why some people are full of such self-loathing? It’s never been explained to me why I should despise myself, my country, my history and my heritage so very, very much.

Perhaps someone could explain why in an easy, simple to understand, clearly thought out and convincing manner?

Those who suffer from ‘white guilt’?

Several things as far as I can tell.

An unwavering commitment to worship at the alter of wokeness.
An addiction to social media.
The overwhelming need to feel respected and loved by others, even if such admiration is usually hollow.
Upper middle class, university educated, comfortable upbringings.
Hypocrisy by the ton.
A desire to destroy capitalism, democracy and free speech, (and therefore a desire to shoot themselves in the foot).
An ignorance of history and how the world really works.
A hatred of Jews.
A desire to see fully open borders.
Zero experience of living in the sort of world that they are so eager to see become a reality.
An absolute intolerance of any opinion that fails to match their own.
A closed mind to new ideas.
A tendency to only get their news from rage inducing, click bait left-wing websites.
An inability to take a step back and view a bigger picture using critical thinking.

Of course these are just generalisations.

I remember as a kid growing up in a region that was the heart of this country’s mining and steel industries how Labour and the Left were mainly for helping the working man, (although I acknowledge the valid arguments about how Scargills main aim was to bring down a democratically elected government). What the hell happened? Can you imagine walking into a boozer in Royston (Barnsley), and start going on about trans-rights, white guilt, fully open borders, globalism etc. You’d get your head kicked in !

You missed out an absolute belief in the benefits of diversity.

All apart from diversity of opinion or thought where they have a shuddering aversion akin to supermans Kryptonite when it comes to divergence from their own fledermaus scheiße verrückt narratives.

It's really very odd.

Last year pre corona, I'd have said it would be close.

Early corona, Trump's an imbecile, and I'd be voting Biden. Dem landslide.

Later on, with Joe looking increasingly senile, I'd have said a lot depends on his VP choice.

Then BLM and George F, the Dems had it in the bag.

BLM turns into rioting, looting Marxist scum...up in the air.

Then Pelosi bent the knee, wore enthic clothing, aligned the Democrats to BLM, gargled the gland, and it's really worse open right now......but the Dems think they've got it nailed. There really could be some exception rectal pain ahead.

I honestly have no idea which way it'll go, but I think it's worth putting some $$ on Trump.

My concern is what will be the after effects of all of this?

If the Dems win, then the emboldened Left goes mental.

Or

If Trump wins then the Left goes mental anyway, doubling down on all they’ve done wrong over the past few years.

No matter what the outcome in November, there’ll be a st storm afterwards.

I don’t mean to sound overly dramatic Jim, but I think we’re living in dangerous times. It’s like we’re teetering on the edge of an abyss, not yet certain if we’ll fall down the hole or regain our balance.

There’s always been political nutters scattered around the place, but I never thought I’d see calls to abolish the Police and abolish capitalism gain widespread approval eek

I have read many things written by JPMC CEO Jamie Dimon. He has essentially said that capitalism in the hands of politicians is dead and we should hand over the reigns of ruling the world to the banks.

Fairly scary stuff from someone that aligns himself with the Democrats.

I honestly think it'll come down to November.

If Trump was less divisive (in his case, a word I use as being easier to say than 'a complete tit'), I think it would be Republican across the board.

As it stands, I think it'll be close.

As to what happens after then, anyone's guess.

It's important to remember that much of the noise is coming from Twitter and other sources that represent a remarkably small but extremely vocal party of the country.

Just in case, I should really buy another couple of lower receivers.
