Is it Biden's policies you think are awful of his personal traits?
Neither candidate is of any use to the average American. There is no vision that will improve their future chances in life.
I totally disagree. But I’m sure that you have a much better perspective from Cambridgeshire.
And that response is why i tend to stay out of USA politics related threads. Pathetic.

Judge reviewing Flynn case rules against crooked Billy Barr, cites “gross prosecutorial abuse” and recommends the judge in the case move forward to sentencing.

Neither Bernard nor Trump will be POTUS. Hillary will be the first female POTUS and at 69 next November she will be the second oldest POTUS's, replacing the 5th youngest, Barack Obama.

trump's campaign sent CNN President Jeff Zucker a cease and desist letter over a poll that shows the president trailing former Vice President Joe Biden by 14 points among registered voters.

trump didn't like it showing he was losing and demanded CNN apologise
https://edition.cnn.com/2020/06/10/politics/trump-...

Trump tweeted that he had hired Republican pollster McLaughlin & Associates to "analyze" the CNN poll and others, "which I felt were FAKE based on the incredible enthusiasm we are receiving." McLaughlin ranks as one of the least accurate pollsters in the industry, as measured by FiveThirtyEight.

The really bad news is the Gallup polls agree, a ten-point drop in Gallup presidential approval in less than a month, from 49% to 39%

"The facts surrounding the filing of the Government's motion constitute clear evidence of gross prosecutorial abuse. They reveal an unconvincing effort to disguise as legitimate a decision to dismiss that is based solely on the fact that Flynn is a political ally of Pres. Trump."

“Even recognizing that the Government is entitled to deference in assessing the strength of its case, these claims are not credible, Indeed, they are preposterous.”

Then Barr again has many of his peers again criticising him.

More than 1,250 former Justice Department workers are calling on the DOJ internal watchdog to investigate A.G. Barr's involvement in law enforcement's move to push peaceful demonstrators back from Lafayette Square using horses and gas.

In a letter to Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz, the group said it was “deeply concerned about the Department’s actions, and those of Attorney General William Barr himself, in response to the nationwide lawful gatherings to protest the systemic racism that has plagued this country throughout its history.”

“In particular, we are disturbed by Attorney General Barr’s possible role in ordering law enforcement personnel to suppress a peaceful domestic protest in Lafayette Square on June 1, 2020, for the purpose of enabling President Trump to walk across the street from the White House and stage a photo op at St. John’s Church, a politically motivated event in which Attorney General Barr participated,” the group wrote.

trump is signalling to his base again. He thinks he's clever but it's obvious now. trump will hold his first rally in months on 19th June in Tulsa. Tulsa is of course the site of the US's biggest race massacre in 1921.

As trump has now abandoned anything but his reelection, living in his bubble of yes men, ranting at the polls that don't show him winning.

yesterdays CV-19 figures
2,002,229 cases
113,344 deaths

Over 2m cases now in the US and growing again with 19 states now reporting an increase of numbers again, and apart from the black protests, the US is officially in a recession

The U.S. is officially in a recession, bringing an end to a historic 128 months of economic growth, after the coronavirus pandemic swept the country and shut down the economy.

For more than a decade, the American economy seemed to contradict the adage "What goes up, must come down." That ended in February, according to the National Bureau of Economic Research, or NBER, the agency that identifies periods of economic growth and contraction.

The economic expansion would have turned 11 years old this month — a span unmatched in the postwar economy.

The NBER noted that the quarterly peak was the final quarter of 2019. Gross domestic production dropped by 5 percent in the first quarter of 2020, and analysts predict that the drop in the current quarter is likely to be historically steep. A tracking tool from the Atlanta Federal Reserve estimated a drop of nearly 54 percent for the quarter.

Rep. Nadler
@RepJerryNadler
AG Barr's dismissal of charges against Michael Flynn was flagrant in its injustice. Today, @HouseJudiciary
filed an amicus brief in the case of U.S. v. Michael Flynn condemning Barr's politicization of DOJ. Justice cannot be perverted for political ends.

“Few things are more corrosive to the rule of law—and the public’s confidence in the criminal justice system—than the injection of partisanship, favoritism, or corruption into prosecutorial decisions. In this case, the impropriety is barely concealed.

Attorney General Barr has stonewalled congressional oversight at every turn, depriving the House Judiciary Committee of any opportunity to question him about his mischaracterization of the Mueller Report, his role in the sentencing of Roger Stone, or the policies he has put in place to facilitate the improper politicization of prosecutorial decision making.

Now, he seeks to stonewall the judicial branch as well, and that must not be tolerated. Today’s filing makes this argument in the starkest terms, and lays out exactly what is at stake if the Department of Justice, the Attorney General, and the President of the United States is allowed to pervert justice for their own political purposes. ”

A Presidency Is a Terrible Thing to Waste

The president has worsened his position with his profligate tweeting, unpresidential conduct and refusal or inability to step up to the magisterial aspect of his office.

...the president has worsened his position with his profligate tweeting, unpresidential conduct and refusal or inability to step up to the magisterial aspect of his office.

If he loses in November, it won’t because he pursued a big legislative reform that was a bridge too far politically. It won’t be because he adopted a creative and unorthodox policy mix that alienated his own side. It won’t even be because he was overwhelmed by events, challenging though they’ve been.

It will mostly be because he took his presidency and needlessly drove into the ground, 280 characters at a time.

It's a long time politically till November.
The mistake you are making there is in expecting Trump to somehow miraculously change his ways between now and then. His MO all along has been never to backtrack or apologise but to double down. It's safe to assume that his waning popularity will only increase the flow of delusion, paranoia and idiocy over the coming months. The doubling down will continue, his public image will deteriorate exponentially and he will talk himself out of the White House.

I can't see him having the stamina.

Just musing, but what happens to the election if they remove him under the 25th amendment? Does Pence stand instead?

The Trump campaign's internals show him "down in swing states, and down with key demographics including women and independents," ABC reports.

The messaging from the White House on the coronavirus pandemic and the growing anger about the brutal killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis was fueling a drop in his numbers. Top aides warned that former Vice President Joe Biden, now the presumptive Democratic nominee, was positioned to defeat the president by a significant number of electoral votes based on the campaign's analysis, according to multiple sources familiar with the meeting.

For someone who lives in Wiltshire you've really got a bug up your arse about President Trump in America haven't you.

When he wins again later this year you will be like this...
