''Donald Trump has claimed the UK has asked the United States for 200 "desperately needed" ventilators due to a shortage amid the coronavirus crisis.

The US leader described Britain as “great partners” as he said “we’ve got to work it out” and help with the supply of the life-saving equipment.''

At a time when it wasn't a popular thing.

Also US drug companies offered assitance.

The rel issue is Obama distanced himself from old friends like the UK, whereas Trump has embraced them. Sometimes it is better the Devil you know.
Trump embracing old friends ?

Like Nato ?

Like the EU ?

Or do you mean like Putin and love letters with Rocket man ?

Is that the type of embrace you mean ?
I guess he's trying to imply something from Obama saying the UK should stay in the EU and if they left they may find themselves at the back of the queue for trade deals...
Thats about all I can think of

Yes. Just how much money do people need? You can never spend it.

For many stunted rich people it appears to be little more than a measure of success, a complete and utter waste.

So Trump is now backing the game show host's Covid-19 conspiracy theory over the CDC in an attempt to smear Fauci:

trumps topped the 20,000 lies

It took President Trump 827 days to top 10,000 false and misleading claims in The Fact Checker’s database, an average of 12 claims a day.

But on July 9, just 440 days later, the president crossed the 20,000 mark — an average of 23 claims a day over a 14-month period, which included the events leading up to Trump’s impeachment trial, the worldwide pandemic that crashed the economy and the eruption of protests over the death of George Floyd in police custody.

The coronavirus pandemic has spawned a whole new genre of Trump’s falsehoods. The category in just a few months has reached nearly 1,000 claims, more than his tax claims combined. Trump’s false or misleading claims about the impeachment investigation — and the events surrounding it — contributed almost 1,200 entries to the database.

The notion that Trump would exceed 20,000 claims before he finished his term appeared ludicrous when The Fact Checker started this project during the president’s first 100 days in office. In that time, Trump averaged fewer than five claims a day, which would have added up to about 7,000 claims in a four-year presidential term. But the tsunami of untruths just keeps looming larger and larger.

Team trump are briefing against Parscale again. Last time it was Ivanka, Kushner and Hope Hicks driving it...

Parscale, despite his self-promotion, increasingly finds himself out of favor with his boss and hemmed in by newly hired staffers and recently promoted advisers, according to people familiar with the campaign.

Parscale lives in Florida, the campaign's in Virginia. Staff say he's often by his pool. "You can't have a campaign manager who isn't even around the campaign."

“This is the same tired story being shopped every week by the same lowlife anonymous sources who are putting their own personal interests ahead of the president and his campaign, in a misguided attempt to weasel their way in to resurrect their failed and disgraced careers,” Parscale said.

Allies of Parscale say he maintains the trust of the Trump family, including Trump son-in-law Kushner, continues to advise the president and travels weekly to the White House. Many on the expanded team, they said, work well with Parscale, and he is largely responsible for the massive reelection operation, with its million-plus volunteers, nearly $300 million in cash and extensive data operation.

Remember, Parscale is moving money from the Campaign to trumps sons via their partners.

The Lincoln Project raised $16.8 million this quarter.

The group will target a slate of Senate Republicans they view as vulnerable this year, like Sens. Susan Collins (Maine), Joni Ernst (Iowa), Thom Tillis (N.C.) and Lindsey Graham (S.C.).

Yet another book coming out soon, this time from one of the Mueller investigation team

A top prosecutor for special counsel Robert Mueller has a book coming out this fall about the two-year investigation into the alleged ties between Russia and the 2016 campaign of President Donald Trump.

Random House announced Monday that Andrew Weissmann’s “Where Law Ends: Inside the Mueller Investigation” will be published Sept. 29. Weissmann, often the target of criticism from Trump supporters, is calling the book a meticulous account of the Mueller team’s probe and its ongoing battles with the Trump administration.

"I felt it was necessary to record this episode in our history, as seen and experienced by an insider,” he said in a statement. “This is the story of our investigation into how our democracy was attacked by Russia and how those who condoned and ignored that assault undermined our ability to uncover the truth. My obligation as a prosecutor was to follow the facts where they led, using all available tools and undeterred by the onslaught of the president’s unique powers to undermine our work.

“I am deeply proud of the work we did and of the unprecedented number of people we indicted and convicted — and in record speed. But the hard truth is that we made mistakes. We could have done more. ‘Where Law Ends’ documents the choices we made, good and bad, for all to see and judge and learn from.”

I keep getting people signing up my Gmail address for various things, probably putting the wrong address or missing numbers off the end of theirs, but the last few days I've been getting things like this:

Will you vote Trump in 2020?
Trump Pence Keep America Great

xxxxxxx,

Democrats are energizing their socialist base with a long list of radical presidential candidates. They all have their sights set on taking back the White House in 2020 and implementing their extremist agenda.

The mainstream media is already predicting a Trump defeat in 2020, just like they did in 2016.

We proved them wrong then and we will prove them wrong again.

President Trump doesn’t care what the mainstream media says about his chances, he only cares what YOU think.

Take our quick one-question poll to let President Trump know he can count on your vote in 2020. >>

Who will you vote for in 2020?

PRESIDENT TRUMP

A SOCIALIST DEMOCRAT

We need to make sure we have every Trump supporter on board now, so we can win BIG LEAGUE in 2020.

President Trump wants to know if he can count on you when it matters most.

Please take our Official Survey before MIDNIGHT TONIGHT.

Thank you,

Team Trump 2020

Trump supporters are unlikely to read books though, so preaching to the converted.

Given that Pol Pot is dead, the Child Catcher is fictitious, and my old RE teacher is not eligible to stand for president, I can confidently say that Donald Trump is dead last on the list of people that I would vote for.

Is 'BIG LEAGUE' a none-too-subtle attempt at re-writing 'Bigly' to give a crumb of credibility?
