Also reading that it looks like new witness have come forward since Maxwell’s arrest.
SDNY says in its filing that these new witnesses have the potential to make the case against Ghislaine Maxwell “even stronger.”

I do wonder if the financial side of this may be an easier way to get proof that will hold up in court. Al Capone was done for tax matters not organised crime.

More likely Epstein was using blackmail on the people he had video's etc of?
Which could mean many compromised people with implications for their roles or many possible witnesses /co-conspirators to give evidence in return for a plea deal?

Bit late to the party, and have never worn a foil hat but statements on Wiki like this:

A dossier on paedophiles allegedly associated with the British government was assembled by the British Member of Parliament Geoffrey Dickens, who handed it to the then-Home Secretary, Leon Brittan, in 1984. The whereabouts of the dossier is unknown, along with other files on organised child abuse that had been held by the Home Office.

In 2013, the Home Office stated that all relevant information had been passed to the police, and that Dickens' dossier had not been retained. It was later disclosed that 114 documents concerning child abuse allegations were missing.

This is one of those situations for me where if it looks like a duck, if it quacks like a duck...

No way that something of that importance could just be mislaid, stinks to high heaven.
Yeah, I'm sure something has gone one. It's hard to work it all out from the ellegations from the Carl Beech/Nick nutter, to what was actually proven. it seems he mades lots of wild allegations that turned out to be false and ended up in prison, but amongst that, there was some sort of peadophile/abuse going on, it just had no proper links back to being a group within westminster?

Either way, definitely some dodgy stuff going on. Seems strange that these links are always with powerful or wealthy people. We know those types are often sociopaths and all this recent stuff points quite a bit to a certain generation as well! Interesting to see if a certain upbringing plays a part or of it comes later in life.

Now why would a hedge fund buy something like that?

Don’t kid yourself with regards to conspiracies. They are not necessarily manufactured by those who wish to feel important. They do happen.

Important people are protected. You only have to keep your eyes open with regards to court cases and prosecutions to realise that manipulation of results is easy. It’s happened enough times in the past. It’s comforting to think that it won’t happen nowadays because of all the safeguards at the been imposed, but that self-delusion; it’s happening now in this country.

I was a slight victim of a conspiracy, just having some shrapnel come near to me. Others in my office were not quite so lucky, one having her career ruined to the extent that she eventually left the service. However, she was a resourceful woman who was one of the best facilitators of ever known so didn’t really harm her. She ran a very successful business of her own sometime afterwards.

I was threatened that if I ever mentioned a certain MP’s name ‘again’ I would be sacked without further ado. I knew the regulations fairly well and realised that it was an empty threat, although my inspector cautioned me, advising me to be circumspect; the fact that I’d never mentioned this person before and knew little about him wasn’t that much of a defence evidently.

I was told to leave matters well alone and just get on with my work. A stupid thing to say to any police officer. A few phone calls later I discovered that a complete case file had gone missing after a special unit had reported on a serial offender, and that unit had been closed with the staff dispersed to other units in other stations. The person who phoned me refused to give their name and would only phone me at home.

25 years later it became a much talked of subject and the blame for the missing file was placed at the feet of the police. This was very strange as the unit had duplicated the file before it submission as they suspected something similar and was able to resubmit it at the time, but then they were shut down.

It goes on, will continue to go on, and, unfortunately, tinfoil is not an adequate protection.
