For him to face a day in court there would initially need to be a complaint made to the police detailing any alleged wrongdoings. This complaint would then be investigated.

To date no one has made such a complaint.

Maybe because its basically bullst. Problem we have now is a bit like the supercar debated on another thread. A Ferrari 360 is not a supercar because a VE Golf also has 400bhp etc....Because people acted one way in the past we now vilify them (assuming no actual crime has been committed). Morals of one period cannot be applied to another for such disputes we have the law thats it.

Very clever, you take the piss saying that he needs to have the last word, so if he does, you win, if he doesnt, then you still win. I might try that technique myself some time.

If you don’t follow Westwood on Instagram, you should, because some of the stuff he posts is really quite funny.

As others have said, his contribution Rap/Hip Hop and culture in the UK is absolutely massive, and even if you don’t like him, you can’t knock how hard he works and how successful he is.

Never married, no girlfriend, no kids, lives in a small 2 bed property which he keeps immaculate and minimalist.

When interviewed he says he hasn’t got time for marriage or kids etc as he still has so much work to do in the world of hip hop.

He is truly ‘married to the game’ as they say.

As for they way he ‘acts’ or his persona, I don’t think it is an act. It isn’t forced or put on. It’s actually how he is. He simply became so absorbed in the hip hop culture early in his life, that he just subconsciously became that person.

In his own words, “there isn’t a Clark Kent to the Superman. It’s just me. I am who I am”

My issue with much younger wives is this:

Men die younger than women on average and I would feel so guilty about, assuming I lived to 80, leaving a 55 (or whatever) year old wife alone so relatively young. Or her having to care for me whilst at a young age as I dribble to death.

Only issue.

The rest of the nonsense around this topic I've always felt is jealousy from both sexes, particularly women, who just love to shame each other as part of their sexual marketplace strategies.

Any man that would rather shag a 50 year old than a 25 year old, all other things being equal, is a liar.

Westwood's accent is no more silly than everyone else who speaks like he does. This accent has sprung up out of nowhere during my lifetime and doesn't seem to be a black or a white thing really in people younger than Tim.

His radio shows back in the day were a must listen if you were into hip hop and weren't going out on a Friday or Saturday night. The amount of albums I bought off the back of one track on his show was incredible. Shaped my music choices 100%.

He's obviously a bit ridiculous but early hip hop was ridiculous.

I remember about 20 years ago he was running a phone-in competition on his show.... BOOOM, BIG DOG etc etc and the question was "what is no. 1 in the chart this week? Meaning hip hop chart presumably,. But somehow a small child had managed to get through on the phone and volunteered the answer "Bob the Builder". Westwood handled it really well and for that most trivial of reasons he went up in my estimation,

In South London, his daily 4-6pm weekday show on LWR was the key source of all Electro, back in the early/mid 80s. He also MC'd the 1984 GLC Hip Hop Jam at Island Gardens.

LWR... a far better station than the 'license winner' that was Kiss.

One of my Exes.

Her Dad was a widow. So when he remarried the lady that went on to be her Mum, there was a substantial age gap. Think it was 20yrs+

When her Dad died in his 80s, my ex was in her early 30s. Whilst her Mum was still in her 60s, so relatively young to be losing a husband to age related reasons. My ex's step-siblings are pretty close to the age of her mother!

Interesting side point is that my ex's dress sense was clearly influenced by the older siblings. It was a little bit dated/conservative at times laugh

I'm surprised no one has accused him of racial appropriation before now as well. If people get upset with white guys having dreads, they should go full on mental if a white guy tries to speak like a black man.

Anyway, I always thought he was a knob and far too up his own arse.

I remember back in secondary school (early 00s). it became a trend for people from an asian/philipino background getting canerows/cornrows. some people huffed and puffed. honestly it really doesn't bloody matter. do whatever you want and like. many people of that 'culture' apprciate someone getting onto something like that and widening its appeal.

Rubbish.

The way you speak is a product of where you live and the culture you are immersed in during your formative years, not your bloody skin colour!!

Ever met a white Trinidadian or black Welshman?

Tim probably couldn’t mount that defence having grown up in Lowestoft, but by the same count he didn’t sound like he was appropriating black culture so much as he was appropriating US culture to my ear - East Coast radio to put a finger on it...

why is nobody blasting seal paul for his accent? he looks 'white'.

why should a genre of music be restricted to a certain race? hello?? eminem?? its just lots of igorant comments about people who don't know anything about westwood or have ever listened to him. he has always been on the button in his scene. thats why at his age he's still in it.

He was a posh boy that suddenly started talking with a completely different accent.

I guess many of us replicate our peers in some small way, but that was on another level! laugh

That is not taking away his knowledge and what he has done for Hip Hop in the UK.
