Estate Agents drop Master Bedroom from listings

It appears that some estate agents are taking heed of singer John Legend and dropping the term master bedroom from property descriptions, this follows on from no longer using the phrase his and hers when referring to bathrooms, dressing rooms etc.

If they called it "Bedroom 1" or "Main" or "Largest" it would be fine

If they called the bathrooms "Twin" instead of "his and hers" again, no real issue



Quite why they have to make such a big virtuous display of telling everyone they are changing the names gripes more though!

Reminds me of about 10 years ago, walked in to a PC world branch, asked if they had any gender benders.

The term Master bedroom emerged to indicate that a bedroom was being used by the Master of the house.

You have to be really looking for offence to think it has any connection to slavery. No doubt there was some estate agent somewhere looking for some extra woke points.

The tech world is way ahead on this nonsense. Loads of top tech firms like Twitter, Github, LinkedIn etc are changing all their terminology, This would have made a decent April fools article last year but sadly it is no joke
