That would have been a quality arrest any day of the week. Strange times.

Police were called to a disturbance / affray - not because he had a knife - that was probably discovered later. There were no charges in relation to the disturbance.

He was carrying a knife, I regularly use a knife to repair my bicycle. It doesn’t say if was Risi N at the time.

This sort of thing worried me. I use to quite legitimately carry a leatherman both when i was a sapper in the army, and later when i drove lorries. Id use the knife for cutting straps which were damaged etc. Ive used pretty much all the tools on my leatherman at work... but ive never stabbed anyone with it. I should think a kitchen knife is far more deadly, and i carried one of them for making my dinner in a lorry as well.

But i was never really sure if i was allowed it or not. The locking blade was far safer than one that could close etc. But someone told me they were illegal. I have seen police officers with leatherman so im not sure if they have extra powers to carry them.

We'll see what kind of knife it was in due course. For some reason I don't think it will be a small folding penknife which is perfectly adequate for the masses of cutting jobs the average person does every day. Maybe it was a machete and he works clearing gardens (in the Amazon)?

Maybe, maybe not.

You can’t look at a newspaper without seeing discrimination on every other page.blm and blm issues are rife at the moment.

America which has far greater race issues than the uk don’t appear to have police killing young black man at a significant rate. If they don’t I would be astonished if the uk did.
