Just tried the parking options for Gatwick in September but the closest to terminals are Meet and Greet.

What happened to leaving it in Short Term for a week (around £100), seems to be no option for that anymore.

The reason I drive is so that I can just rely on myself, don't fancy turning up at terminal to find that my Greet Guy is not there, same for return.

Suffer badly from Anxiety so it's something that'll ruin the journey for me.

Just want to drive to carpark, dump car, walk to departures.

Surely this isn't some Covid thing?

Isn't the option still there to park in the short term carpark using their meet & greet, drop the car in ST & it's there when you arrive?

It is indeed, I must have stumbled across the not really Gatwick sites. £107 thanks.

Now booked in the Hilton for the night before for only £77.

Its very important to make sure you book parking with the official Gatwick web site. Its so easy to get hooked to a cowboy outfit.

Having said that, Hilton usually have a sleep and park package type of package that offers a slightly reduced parking rate if you're staying in the hotel before your flight.

I've always found Purple parking to be very good. They'll often have meet and great deals going on.

If "Meet and Greet" means leaving the keys then bugger that frankly

I used a couple of off-site places in the early 2000s, until my Seat Leon Cupra "lost" about a quarter of a tank of petrol in a week! (Shame I didn't note the mileage). rolleyes

But after that I always went here:- https://www.gatwickparking.com/our-car-parks/parki...

The car stayed where I parked it and I kept hold of the keys!

Just been on the official gatwick airport parking website
always used the long stay for many years since never had any trouble and cheap
stuck in my dates and the site is only picking only the short stay options at over £100
call me a cynic but I think something is going on
switched from north terminal (easyjet) to south and same answer
will ring them tomorrow

I've always used Long Stay - the buses are regular and reliable since so many people use it, it's well-signposted where to park, and I take a photo of the signs and bus stop so I remember where I am when I get back biggrin

I think its all to do with the restrictions and the drop in business caused by this crisis.
I regularly used Gatwick Official Valet parking but now it just shows same as you, short stay options. Think about the social distancing rules , people packing into those car park buses, and guys jumping into your car.

Just spoke to James at Gatwick. Long stay is currently closed but will re-open beginning of August which will suit me.

Will suit me as well. I have flights booked from Gatwick and Luton in September.

We use meet and greet almost every time we fly now. It removes so much hassle, it's worth the cost. Last time I used meet and greet at Gatwick it was very simple.

Park in carpark. Throw keys at guy in cabin and confirm return flights whilst the wife and kids wonder off to the terminal.

Pick keys up from guy in cabin after return flight. Find car. Go home.

Only once have we had a problem and that was at Stansted. The wife's car had a flat battery and was a pain to get into. Which wouldn't normally much of an issue except it was nearly midnight in November and pissing it down. The meet and greet guys lent us a battery charger which got us going.

A couple of time when I've had early flights from Gatwick for shorter trips. I stay over at the Travellodge and leave the car there for the duration of the trip. Have their breakfast and get the bus to the terminal.

I live near Gatwick. The fastest cars on the road round here, by a long shot, are the ones heading towards those carparks and back from them.

There's no way I'd ever use that service, from any of the companies.

Use the link through the Moneysavingexpert site, always comes up cheaper. Skypark tend to be cheapest for the airport's I use.
