Train crash in Scotland

Crikey, they don't look to be very close to the crash site either, I bet access down there is a bloody struggle.
I live in Aberdeen and use the train south semi frequently and I'd imagine that emergency access would be very challenging - it's a fair way off from the road and down a fairly severe embankment, and there isn't a lot of room down there.Sad news, hopefully all are OK.
Read elsewhere that a bridge may have collapsed beneath the front power car just as it was returning wrong line back towards Aberdeen.
Edit : correction, the train had already crossed over to the right line and was heading back when the derailment occured.

Struggling to work out how this has happened
Embankment washed away? When one derails then the others just ride over the top.Yes, lots of damage from rain in England last night - A68 washed away for example - but what those south of the border perhaps don't realise is that parts of Scotland have been hammered with rain for last few weeks.

PA reporting only 12 people onboard.
Not good news if you are one of those 12 but a hell of alot better than it could have been.
It's in local news that one carriage is submerged too. Looks horrific, but seems to be with general quarantine, and Aberdeen lockdown in particular then it is a lot quieter than it should have been thankfully. Lived a lot of my life in Aberdeen, so done that journey many times. Thoughts with the people on the train and their families. Heard on the radio that the train left Aberdeen at 6/30 - If thats the case it is surprising because that was the height of the storm and the rain was biblical. It got stopped by landslide and then couldn't get back because of another. So fortunate it was not busier.
First air ambulance has arrived at Aberdeen Royal informary.

Now being reported than another carriage is completely submerged in water with people unaccounted for
What a horrible, distressing thought. What on earth could you do in that situation? Would there be much time? Would any lights be on?Sends a shiver up my spine. Poor souls.
