Sir Ed Davey - Lib. Dem Leader
Discussion
I am sorry I think you have mistaken me for a Tory party activist and that's an off topic question.
As the article quiet rightly points out, the opposition need to come up with something better than mumbling on about Michelle Mone whilst posting on social media from, their £5m house in Oxfordshire countryside about sub-saharan migrant LGBTQ+ issues.

It's mostly general, non-Horizon related about Ed.
Julie Burchill has written a quite brilliant article in the Spectator about Ed and the Lib Dems.

"'Davey is foul; with a face like a Cornish pasty without any filling, his political career is a litany of making light of the worries and cares of the ordinary voter.......in favour of green policies which would see the working class shivering by candlelight in 15-minute ghettos....."

This is quite incredible. Prior to the 2 posts above, the last time something was added to this thread dedicated to Ed was early November.
Despite being leader of a political party his own thread boasts few posts.
He was hoping that the party could fly under the radar and attract the Nimby, Rejoin vote but 'events' have taken over.Despite being leader of a political party his own thread boasts few posts.

I think the basis of the point is that you are desperate to discredit Ed Davey and the Lib Dems when the Tories have been so absolutely appalling over the last few years.
I don't need to achieve anything. Salford Quays was quite happily Lib Dem. The self immolation is all on him as a politician. I have no axe to grind with Ed, that's why I started the thread.Simon Heffer writes in the Telegraph:
"Sir Ed Davey is a toxic liability even to the feckless Lib Dems.
His behaviour over the Post Office scandal has been idiotic and arrogant"

If it means they end up with more MPs at the next election then that's a good thing. Hopefully then Ed can shape a better front bench.
The projected national shares of the vote was down on 2023 at 17% but there were less seats up for grabs.
They will be celebrations in Tunbridge Wells and Oxford.
