I just got an email from Costco stating that if you have an exception from wearing a face mask then you must wear a face shield instead.

Thats the first time I've seen that.

... And if you don't get the email/ forget they can always sell you one (or a box full) from the shopfloor.

Maybe they want rid of their stock. Blue skies on the horizon and all that ...

PS Costco is ste. Apart from the utility room foam and garage flooring they sell.

That's not the law so they can fk off.
And so can you most likely smile
Can they discriminate against people who are exempt from mask wearing (and vaccinations in due course)? I'd have thought that would be fun time for lawyers. As I understand it, no -one has the right to ask the basis for your exemption.

Is that mandate from Costco not an offence under the disabilities act of 2010?

Thats my understanding as well but I would also assume they have the right to refuse serving anyone they want as long as they are no discriminating.

Refusing to serve someone who does not want to wear a mask for a reason not covered by the disability act would not be breaking the law... I assume?

Except they don't have the right to ask why someone is exempt. If they did, that would effectively force you to reveal your personal medical information to some oik at the door, together with everyone else within earshot.

Are they asking why or just if you are, then asking for a face shield?

I would have thought that if some one turns up and says they are exempt, they will just spin you round and tell you to leave.

No need to question anyone so no discrimination IMO.

Sorry, what? It's not discrimination if you just tell someone to go away?
Would it be OK for them to do that if someone was gay, or black?

Which all demonstrates the absurdity of having exemptions in the first place. All or nothing ( i prefer nothing).

one shouldn't assume consent just because you're married.

It is up to the store to decide if they let people in without masks, be they white, black, Asian, pink with blue spots.

So are you saying that a shop could refuse entry to black people and that isn't discrimination?

If you could see covid as oozing puss filled sores, would it be alright to pop in the shop like it if also wheelchair bound/anxious/ got a lanyard from eBay?

If the masks are keeping me safe..then why should some be allowed to break the rules...if you can't/ won't wear then mask make other arrangements,I'm in Spain now..it's wear a mask or get out, sanitizer on way in and out by everyone

If they work so well, why are Spain in almost as much ste as we are right now, despite the favourable climatic conditions in much of the country and the significantly lower population density.

Maybe you should email all the world leaders and give them the results of your detailed investigation rather than what you believe on PH,

hehe
