Masks are not keeping you or anyone else safe.

Delusional.

If they work so well, why are Spain in almost as much ste as we are right now, despite the favourable climatic conditions in much of the country and the significantly lower population density.
I'm no mask supporter but if I have to wear on why shouldn't everyone? Not ok for me to be spreading death , but matey with a lanyard he sent off for can be coughing up death in my face

Disableds/anxious aren't exempt from speeding or stabbing people so why this...if it's so deadly

They must have taken legal advice before coming up with this.

And what kind of medical condition/disability would prevent someone wearing a shield anyway?

I think there's even less evidence that those stupid plastic shields prevent spread than there is for bits of damp rag.

They were never designed for this kind of use - they are to stop liquid contaminants reaching the wearer.

Quite
But this is invalid to some people.

"Added safety is worth the inconvenience".

Exactly, masks used correctly I agree with, face shields...? No.

Over the pond (and elsewhere too no doubt) some weirdos are going around in personal bubble shields.

I genuinely don't know. It's hard to tell what's real and what's a joke a lot of the time these days!

The full face respirators have made a reappearance in Welsh supermarkets this week.

The fear is spreading faster than the virus. Today I visited 5 shops, they were busy, and I was the only person not wearing the obligatory face covering that I could see. Social distancing had all but disappeared in all of them. The number of people wearing masks outside had grown substantially as had the muppets wearing them in their car. The news is now reporing as fact that the new variant of the virus is more dangerous and definitely spreads faster. All the adjectives, "deadly, dangerous, threatening" are used in nearly every comment made. It's scandalous.

I was in Costco a few months ago and saw a couple in matching his and hers mask and face shield. Worn together. First time I''ve seen that and I haven't seen it since. The masks were proper respirator type too.
They looked like a pair of buffoons but I suppose one or both of them could have been vulnerable.

I saw them again on the motorway on the way home - still in full fighter pilot mode. Can you give the virus to yourself ?

Or do Costco give you a discount if you double up on your PPE ?

Haha, what a plonker. Quick question, where's the air coming from, I can't see a bottle anywhere?

People queue outside our doctors surgery to collect prescriptions dispensed from a window. I’m amazed that they all stand, well spaced out and wearing masks. You see people walk up bare faced and put on their masks to stand in the queue. Herd mentality, like sheep.

To bring in a PH element - it's like when you park your car at the end of a car park so no one parks next to you. You return to find a car parked on either side on an otherwise empty car park.

You’ll certainly be doing that, but probably not for the reason you are hoping.
