Steve Baker, Conservative, MP for Wycombe, twice former chair of the European Research Group, former under-secretary of DExEU.
+1 Also a member of the Motorcycle Action Group and with relatively libertarian tendencies. But I'm a few miles to the east we have Joy Morrissey, not quite so good.
Graham Brady been MP here in Trafford , blue in a sea of red ,since 1997 . Also chairman of the 1922 committee, so he will be the one to pull the trigger if BJ has to go. Seems almost invisible most of the time here but did came out in opposition to a 20k housing plan(Carrington Moss) on land close to City and United training grounds. He is clearly a man of some standing in the party to have held the chair of the 1922 committee for some years. Ironically most of the type of houses planned would sell to people likely to vote for him. Also Sale Sharks have just lost a planning application to relocate to land adjacent to the M60 junc 7, don't know whether he had any influence on that but the locals are pleased.

Bernard Jenkin.
He's another of those elected because of the colour of rosette and not for any detectable results as an MP.
Had the misfortune to try to get his help with a couple of issues - completely ignored requests from constituents to meet until he was told a reporter from the local paper would be there. Then was suddenly more than happy to attend.
One of his election promises was to speed up the rollout of superfast broadband in rural Essex, something he knew he couldn't help with, having written to a resident to say he couldn't get involved in a problem getting fibre broadband to a village because that was entirely under the control of Essex County Council for the state funded scheme and commercial operators for other schemes.
His sole useful contribution appears to be to the world of entertainment. He's the inspiration for every character called Bernard in any Richard Curtis script...

Anthony Higginbotham, only got voted in last time round. Met him a few times, he seems a nice enough chap, very approachable, and has been more visible since he got voted in than the last waste of space did during her whole time in office. And he does seem to listen to people, but I think he's toeing the party line on this.

Mark Gino(not foreign) Francois. Never shy of a photo opportunity and some self promotion. My Wife dislikes him as he talks to her tits every time they've met.
That's got to be 6 inches above eye level for Mark, I wouldn't take it.Although if rumours are to be believed, he probably hasn't been seen in public for a while...
Andrew Selous (sp)
Our area is about as blue as it gets. Will never be in a position to loose it. Decent enough chap, always see him out and about in the town centre taking time to answer questions etc. This was pre Covid mind. Seems to quite a lot for the local community etc so can’t really moan about that.

Our previous MP, the wonderful bell end that was David Treddinnick, who felt Astrology was the answer to all the NHS's woes. has thankfully been replaced by Dr Luke Evans, who actually lives here for a start, and isn't a tt in the slightest if first impressions are anything to go buy.
He visited my wife's office recently and was very keen to understand the impact Covid was having at a business and personal level.
I live in hope.
We live in the same constituency treddinnick was a complete tard who thinks homeopathy can cure aids thank fk he pissed off before covid, he was never around either a complete charlatan. Although luke wares the wrong Rossett for my tastes he comes across as a fair guy and the chats I have had with him were very good I think he may actually do things unlike his Mr fking magic crystals.
I've no idea who my MP is thus no idea if he/she (or a mix of both these days) is any good.
My assumption is that such a person is somebody who has never held down a job requiring intelligence or any other skills & whose priority is speaking non-stop gibberish to camouflage such inadequacies.
If you're thick or just crafty get a cushy number in the civil service where you're not accountable & non-sackable.

Ours is too-and-fro seat. Now Amanda Salloway (Cons), pretty non-descript but trundles along in a pretty inoffensive way. She replaced Chris Williamson ( ) so a period of relative normality is just what the doctor asked for here!!
I work in the constituency of, and have a fair few direct dealings with, Alex Norris (Lab). A great chap and a very good constituency MP...big Man City fan.
