I wondered back in the summer why Farage hadn't got stuck into this. I guess he was waiting for public mood to start swinging against the actions taken.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7osvIF98RLo

Just got to the pub. Can't just order a drink. Can't order a starter or side, it has to be a main meal.
Just mental. How does Covid know the difference between cheesy dough balls (not allowed) and fish finger sandwich (allowed)?
I thought pubs were able to serve "substantial meals?" I would take that to mean if you are having a main preceded by a starter and followed by dessert, that would be perfectly fine, as you having a full meal. Just mental. Perhaps the pub in question is taking the rule to an extreme.
I would say people are going to end fat sods if everytime you had to buy a meal if you want a pint. But I just don't think it's going to work for most of the places they are all dead with no atmosphere. I just can't see many staying open.

Leave a door open in September and the death rate is probably measurable in some of these places.
What's the average stay for a resident? 4-6 months?
Dead men walking, when they're not bed bound.

The vaccine isn’t coming any time soon and will be largely pointless even when it does. This is all there in the fine print.
The effectiveness of the vaccine doesn’t matter, so long as we get some sort of vaccine out there. This hasn’t been about medical issues for some months now. A vaccine which had some but not much impact is enough of a basis for the government to drop the current nonsense, whilst still delivering the true objective of protecting their position. Doing this is less of a distortion of the truth than they’ve employed thus far. djohnson said:

My concern about a vaccine is how much daily life will be open to you unless you have had the vaccine. The covid pass scheme concerns me as I have no desire to have a vaccine which has been rushed through. As an example, will you have to have the vaccine to go into large gatherings such as football matches or for travel on public transport?

1) The vaccine manufacturers are not subject to any legal ramification for any mistakes
2) The Government is exempt from any legal ramifications for any mistakes
3) The vaccine can be administered by non trained personnel
4) The vaccine may or may not be mandatory (??)
It's really opening pandora's box.
I will not be having any vaccine for Coronavirus.

We surely wouldn’t be in a position whereby the developers and / or manufacturers of a vaccine had no accountability for its effects? If those who develop and make it won’t stand behind it then you’d be nuts to take it unless it was an absolute last chance, which for 99.9% of people it won’t be. If :

Ordinarily this would be my stance too, and I'm no antivaxxer. However I can imagine that I'll be forced to take it in order to travel. I haven't seen my boy since last year and I'm planning to see him next year (he's in Japan, which is currently closed to visitors).djohnson said:

As well as it being administered by non-medically trained specifically.
