Why are the people of Wales accepting this st? Are people seriously following the rules’ no matter what?

It just beggars belief.
Because just like with SJW issues, it’s not just the police and the media against free thinking people there is an army of virtuous Karen’s ready to call you a murderer.

The media and government has created an army of warriors ready to do their bidding.
Or, people are trying to help in any way they can, and if that means a few restrictions for a short time, then so be it.
Maybe those restrictions don't work quite as well as you think they do, or as Karen thinks. Whether they work as well or as badly as those in power think they should (or maybe, just maybe, want them to is a different question).
The NW has had those since mid summer and yet the infection rate just keeps going up scratchchin.

Stand-by for the inevitable “northerners aren’t following the rules” comments.

Nobody has yet been able to show anything that accurately reflects that people in Tier 3 areas are complying less than others elsewhere.

It’s a “slow news day” if you’re lifting this crap off Twitter and dumping it here.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. Twitter is a cesspit of fktards.

So it looks like the phase II trial results are going to be submitted to try and gain emergency use approval ahead of full licensing next year.

I’m sure someone called this earlier in the thread.

If your enquiry relates to an indemnity given by the Government to vaccine
manufacturers to cover civil claims for damages in certain circumstances,
I can confirm that a qualified indemnity of this sort was given in
relation to the following manufacturers and vaccines:

  • GlaxoSmithKline – Pandemrix
You might want to look that one up.

BBC have a story about cases in Bradford. The angle is the eat out to help out spread cases. Something I've not thought about but does sort of ring true

Paywalled / members only, but the first few paragraphs which are accessible could easily be referring to the current situation.

It's no wonder many in the know are stating their refusal to take any new vaccine.

Looks like the media are not keeping up at the back. Surely it's totally obvious that the death risk from bat flu will be much higher if you're obese?

If more people are dying of Covid-19 than the experts expected because we cannot protect the poorest, that should prompt a fundamental reconfiguration of how the resources of this country are allocated.
Obese and likely deficient in essential vitamins. Time to play politics though.

What drove down the IFR earlier was likely all those students concentrated together who they could test and bring into the numbers. Ordinarily they wouldn't have appeared in the figures as the young usually barely know they have it if they become infected and so don't seek out testing.

Boots going to offer a 12 minute test.

120 a pop can see why it is not offered on nhs. I thought this is what boris wanted.

Although aimed at travellers, the BBC are stating that it can be used by family members for reassurance before meeting. Yeah, I can see that being a massive success at £120 a pop.

Why do gypsies specifically need Covid tests?

With 97% accuracy, it will give as many false positives as correct ones, apparently.

But it's just for the speed of it, can't anyone just book a test for the same day and have results in 24 hours? (My experience and my wife's)

So corners are going to be cut in the approval process, even though some people claimed otherwise. That's definitely me out of receiving a vaccine, no chance in hell I'll be having it and I'll advise everyone I know not to take it either. Nowhere near enough people will have been followed for long enough to ensure either its efficacy or safety for widespread roll out.

The oxford trial is in phase 3 trials not phase 2. No vaccine is getting approval here based on phase 2 results, interim or otherwise.

I think initial takeup of this will be woefully low, certainly not enough to make much difference to either 'cases' or deaths.
Is there any data yet on side effects?
