As a side note, walked into the petrol station today without a mask on and noted the guy in front was also sans mask, so looks like more and more folks have had enough of this ste, I certainly have.
We all have. But most just get on with life, not a big deal.As a side note, walked into the petrol station today without a mask on and noted the guy in front was also sans mask, so looks like more and more folks have had enough of this ste, I certainly have.
The petrol station should have challenged you both. Then not served you until you had completed your sulk.
Hopefully the selfish tt didn’t pass on covid to you or the station staff. And you too.

All the soft arse bedwetters wont who are not at risk but are scared to death of it, they thing they are going to get a magic vaccine so they will never get it. Looks like they are all going to need to take their chances with it.

On the news, cases doubling, second wave, hospital admissions doubling. Are any of these statements based on facts?
They might well all be correct. Whether we should be worried by these events is another matter entirely.Hospital admissions and deaths still only a fraction of the April peak and cases increasing far less rapidly than they did then.

Well because they’ve decided to define a case as a positive PCR which absolutely isn’t a case in its own right (as per the BMJ) and a death is any cause within 28 days of a positive test then no they’re utterly worthless statistics. Complete and utter bks.the-photographer said:

Nope it wasn't a big deal, we both walked in and paid for the petrol, no drama, no bodies piling up outside, truly astonishing!
Not sure who you are referring to as the selfish tt because we both paid for our petrol and didn't steal anything like tampons or kiddie clothes, the old boy was in his 70s so wasn't hanging around.
And before you start chastising people I suggest you do a little research on the wearing of masks and the so called 'protection' they offer, especially the cheapo 99p ones with the 'not suitable for use as PPE' printed on the back of them. Next time I see you I do expect you to be wearing a hazmat suit
Tip for the day, learn something new about masks: https://www.aier.org/article/the-year-of-disguises...
Have a nice day.

I would expect figures like hospital admissions to be pretty accurate, because lets be honest, it's fairly easy for hospitals to count how many patients they have and what they are suffering from.
Having said that, what Jag goes on to say is perhaps the more important point of 'should we be worried?'.
I would say that provided our hospitals are coping and aren't being overrun, then we shouldn't be concerned over the number of cases. The slight issue with this of course, is that hospital admissions tend to lag behind cases/infections.

Well it will be interesting to see if they / how theyA) release measures as we will have a vaccine
B) convince the people that don't have the vaccine that they are now safe to go out after warning them of impending doom.

To quote them "the report "is a scenario, not a prediction" and the data are subject to "significant uncertainty"." Exactly the level of commitment I'd want in order to decide policy/strategy.
If you want to have a laugh here's the BBC article.
The range on the figures is laughable.
I don't feel like laughing. If you want to have a laugh here's the BBC article.
The range on the figures is laughable.
But, I don't believe the levels of incompetence and coincidence that some are happy to swallow. I do believe this is malice and lies.

The model also predicts an overall infection fatality ratio of 0.7% (0.0% - 9.7%).

It is not the job of shopkeepers to enforce the law.
Shopkeepers enforce the law all the time. Or would you be happy for your underage kid to come home with a carrier full of fags, booze and knives in one hand and a box of matches and can of petrol in the other?Any civilian can make an arrest under certain circumstances, but it’s certainly not their responsibility to do so.
They are under no obligation whatsoever to enforce the mask law. There may be guidance that they have to have signs and reminders, but enforcement of the law is the responsibility of the police.

That’s not enforcing the law it’s complying with the law since it’s an offence for them to do those things. It’s not an offence for them to allow someone to shop without a face mask so it’s different.Gassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
