My mum works for the NHS, they’ve had 1 patient death since March for pure COVID, every other death has had an underlying health issue.
Can you detail what a 'pure covid death' entails? I mean if that was me, how do I actually die ?

And as the topic has been well examined recently, due to the 300-400 figure for under 60's, the definition of underlying health issue includes a huge range for 'pre-existing' eg. any mental health diagnosis, a range of common conditions, and even then the 'other' contains stuff like eczema.
It isn’t that difficult is it, have a look at the posted letter.

I have seen it, and I have seen the results of FOI's that have covid attributable deaths at a much higher figure.

The PHW and ONS figures are also updated daily for each health board area - including BCUHB that has published that response.

I thought you might have, or be able to get, some insight to what is a pure covid deaths.

The beacons are packed, there are queues at the beach car parks and beauty spots are jammed with snow hunters.

Two households from my road have gone to their holiday homes in France and a mate from work has gone to Dubai for Xmas.

This is a lockdown in name only

Unfortunately, it's a lockdown that is crippling hospitality and retail for no provable reason.

Shops and pubs / restaurants were never proven to be a high risk.

Hospitals, however, are the one place you definitely don't want to go unless you have to.

Mental isn't it? Police have lost an appetite for enforcing it, car parks at the MTB centres weren't even closed initially. Cars parked outside all the local walking spots as I cycle past.

Same as the beach trips, BLM protests and VE Day celebrations back in April/May and we can all remember the massive spike in infections they caused ....

Some grim reports from welsh hospitals and others in england this evening.

What will happen over the coming couple of weeks is already baked in.

Will be interesting to see the PHW dashboard tomorrow.

There is a lot of smoke and mirrors going on right now.

'More covid cases than at the peak'. Not strictly true. We are testing everyone on being admitted and testing 2-3 times a week once in hospital. Therefore we have a lot of people with a +ve test for the virus compared with the spring peak, but this isn't filtering through to people being treated 'with' covid. Weekly lagged reporting shows every NHS region at lower critical care occupancy than last year.

Plus they're digging out doom merchants after their moment of fame.

Then you have 'we're so busy, we may have to open more beds' - like it's a bloody checkout in a shop. Why are the bloody things 'closed' during a pandemic?

The worst crime is healthy NHS staff getting a +ve test, or being pinged by track & trace and sitting at home on a state sponsored holiday for a couple of weeks when they could be working in the covid areas of hospitals.

Having exercised from my doorstep. Unless you count driving on the public highway as exercise, is that your excuse?

That’s just guidance. But carrying on judging people and virtue signalling. Maybe post on your local Facebook group.

Most of my cars are manuals. Great for getting warmed up before going for a walk wink

Especially the ones with heavier clutches.

Just to be clear, you are calling the medical professionals who are documenting what is going on in hospitals now liars.

Can you give any reason why your opinion on that is valid, perhaps some evidence of the misleading that you say is taking place?

They come up with meaningless quotes 'busier than', 'more cases than in the spring', 'near capacity', without ever quantifying it.

I want to see tomorrow's dashboard update - because the recent updates across the whole of the UK don't reflect what the talking heads on TV are saying.

Staff are afraid to speak against the government narrative and those outside the NHS who question the facts are silenced via OFCOM regulations.

So no evidence?

Name some names who have you seen on TV that are lying?

Tomorrow's dashboard update will not reflect the last 24hrs, even on admissions.

I don't make lists of names of NHS people wheeled out to give us a story of doom.

This is critical care in Cardiff to 23rd December.

Aside from them sending fit and well staff home to isolate, where is the problem? Not hitting capacity, and Covid isn't all that significant, at just 20% of capacity. This is generally repeated nationwide, whilst we have staff desperate for their 5 minutes of fame claiming it's the end of the world.

it would appear that the illness caused by the vaccine, for many people, is worse than getting a dose of the virus

No point in saving lives if you destroy livelihoods and the reasons for living.

They wheel out people to give us a scary story - but never back it up with cold hard fact.
....and I should have remembered you are a Yeadon Dolan etc clown

fking hell.

The clown literally posted bullst about the Welsh NHS.

If you are listening to him you might as well go talk to a gnome in your garden for medical advice and reference stats from a random number generator.
For someone who loves the social media loons, https://twitter.com/WilBroughton/status/1344043528... is a good tweet to read. Fake info on a paramedic retweeted and liked nearly 4k total.

Turns out he is an active paramedic, but the lie remains.

But yeah, trust the internet nutters like yourself. No thanks.

Full time lecturer *and* active paramedic.

It's a wonder he has time to appear on Sky news.

Of course, he has links to Imperial, too.

Now, I'm not claiming he's part of a conspiracy, but that's one hell of a set of coincidences.

ETA: I do particularly love the bit in the interview where he doesn't appear to know what his job is. Oh what a tangled web.
