MD has also, begrudgingly some might say, agreed that fully Vaccinated people can now travel from amber Countries without isolation, so I get to go on Hols next month!

Mrs and Kids are giddy with excitement.
Don't kids have to isolate?
Nope, under 18s are exempt from isolation, in France they have to be traveling with both vaccinated parents (or single vaccinated parent as part of a single parent family or group) in the UK it's a simple exemption.

Under 11s are exempt from pre-departure tests too.

That's a good result smile

Though kinda shows how stupid this all is.

Isn't that part of the risk analysis on those catching the virus? Children are generally less susceptible and more sensible if with parents?

Mind you does it help that Elund Morgan is giving interviews saying some will suffer and die as a result of the lifting of restrictions?

I thought the kids were the new super spreaders.

Anyway, it always seemed a bit silly having to isolate when coming back from a country with less covid than here.

Catch all, to cover travelling with other travellers who you don't know I guess, be that a ferry or an aeroplane...

Local Welsh shops are putting up signs saying don't forget we still wear masks in Wales.

Saw my first mask denier yesterday, wife walked into a local shop with a mask on, man wasn't wearing one. He was asked to put one on and shouted loudly he was exempt, so the shop owner politely asked if he would mind waiting outside as she wasn't happy without him wearing a mask and he went off on one, full rant, swearing. Shocking behaviour.

Tourists, about mid 30's...

Ultimately, it’s down to the business operator to determine who they let into their premises, the same would apply if the person was drunk, or spouting profanities.

However, there is no legal requirement for someone who is exempt to prove that they are. Lanyards help, but have no legal standing.

So in this instance the shop owner appears to have used their own judgement to decide who they will admit.

Out of interest, you use the phrase ‘mask denier’, how do you know for certain the person wasn’t genuinely exempt?

From his attitude and immediate aggressive language, probably if I'm honest based on the posts on the mask thread. Pretty much immediately verbatim repeating that thread. It was very uncomfortable.

So it seems it was his over the top reaction at being asked that prompted the refusal of entry, rather than the act of being without a face covering.

That’s fine and seems a proportionate reaction from the business owner.

And yet you choose to term him as a ‘mask denier’ rather than an unpleasant individual who doesn’t know how to behave.

I find the use of that phrase quite strange, but hey, if some else chooses to use a voluntary code to avoid wearing one, that’s their issue.

From my own perspective, I think there should be a personal choice regarding the vaccine and face covering use.

I see other phrases bandied around like ‘it’s only a face covering, what’s the issue’ but that fails to respect that that isn’t the case for everyone. Hence there is the ability to ‘self certify’ the exemption without detriment.

No ‘one size’ approach is suitable for everyone , so why not let them take personal responsibility for their actions and you, yours?

Your opinion, not being there. My opinion on being there is different.
Weird behaviour from the tourist, hope thats not a sign of things to come whilst England/Wales are different

So do you know for certain the guy’s exclusion was due to no face covering or his resultant behaviour?

Your use of the term “mask denier” and “tourist” when you cannot be 100% certain on either is strange and on that basis I will make no further comment.

However, if you choose to ‘label’ people as such, that’s your choice but don’t be surprised if people question why you would do that.

Funny how the "exempt" people tend to be the same sort of person.

Difficult buggers with an over inflated self importance who are quick to argue.

Its made it easier to see who's a knobhead at a glance.

I don't get it with this 'exemption' stuff! If you can't wear a mask for 10 minutes in a shop due to respiratory problems or sat on a bus doing nothing then what the heck are you doing out of the house? Exemptions should be certified by a Doctor.

Its because most of those who are claiming that they are "exempt" are total throbbers.

At least its made them easier to spot.

I hate masks, but guess what? I wear one when required and just get on with it.

I know a number of people who have genuine exemptions, asthma, Autism, deaf or hard of hearing….

Based on the last few responses I’m outta here, talk about narrow-minded, intolerant, judgemental individuals…. yikes

I'm an asthmatic, hospitalised many times by it, almost died a few times, permant damage and reduced lung capacity and I manage.

I'm sure there are proper exemptions but pretty much everyone who claims it coming into my work are thick bellends who are the personification of selfish and narrow minded often smoking and obese through poor diet and being lazy hambeasts.

There are many things that ought to be pushed back against that are ignored by the same people, they are not making a stand, they are largely being cocks.
