Out of interest, you use the phrase ‘mask denier’, how do you know for certain the person wasn’t genuinely exempt?
From his attitude and immediate aggressive language, probably if I'm honest based on the posts on the mask thread. Pretty much immediately verbatim repeating that thread. It was very uncomfortable. That’s fine and seems a proportionate reaction from the business owner.
And yet you choose to term him as a ‘mask denier’ rather than an unpleasant individual who doesn’t know how to behave.
I find the use of that phrase quite strange, but hey, if some else chooses to use a voluntary code to avoid wearing one, that’s their issue.
From my own perspective, I think there should be a personal choice regarding the vaccine and face covering use.
I see other phrases bandied around like ‘it’s only a face covering, what’s the issue’ but that fails to respect that that isn’t the case for everyone. Hence there is the ability to ‘self certify’ the exemption without detriment.
No ‘one size’ approach is suitable for everyone , so why not let them take personal responsibility for their actions and you, yours?

Your opinion, not being there. My opinion on being there is different.
Weird behaviour from the tourist, hope thats not a sign of things to come whilst England/Wales are different
I'm sneaking out at night (in a mask, natch) to refit local sections of Offa's Dyke with a new palisade. Thank you, Offa, you Mercian prick. You've bequeathed us a means of keeping your wretched, sneezing descendents at bay. Social fking distancing 8th century stylee.Weird behaviour from the tourist, hope thats not a sign of things to come whilst England/Wales are different
(I'm English, but I pay my council tax in Wales.)
£2k fine for breaking second lockdown. That was an expensive 50 mile trip

What a load of bks, a completely disproportionate fine for nothing.https://www.westerntelegraph.co.uk/news/19487793.l...
Surprised he didn't plead N/G given there were enough gaps in the legislation to drive a bus through - you could manufacture a perfectly good excuse
Then, if pleading guilty you'd surely do a big pension payment that month to lower the fine materially given they ask for net income and don't specify a time period...this saved me a few £k fine for a speeding offence a few years back.

Except that the Welsh Government had imposed limited travel rules to reduce the spread of the virus, declared fines and in the first lockdown, many fines were £800 in total in Pembrokeshire...Byker28i said:

All opening up - First Minister seemed quite perky at the briefing today.
