My opinion matters for nothing.
You're finally talking sense.
Harsh but oh so true!!!
Probably not to be repeated.

The lesson from this story is that a no deal leads to higher prices for consumers.

Judging by prior tactics (Greece etc.) the EU will typically wait until the 13th hour and offer only an interim deal that allows the party trying to negotiate to save face temporarily but ultimately commits them to renegotiation in weakened future position. I’d be concerned if they agreed this early that the UK has blinked and conceded early without the best terms.

A successful negotiation relies on the competency and experience of the negotiators and an ability to understand exactly what each side requires. The EU understand that the PM needs to have been seen to have “won” to the public to preserve his career and the British know that ultimately the relative balance of trade favors the EU in setting terms. Everyone can get the headline they foremost want but we must wait.

Not if you can source elsewhere under equivalent or better terms.

Hang on, joining the common market meant higher prices, I remember it well.
Now leaving what CM has morphed into means higher prices again. Apparently, at least according to some.
Market prices will rule surely.

Bloomberg is reporting positive news from the UK-EU future relationship discussion this afternoon as word leaks the two sides have begun working on the text of an agreement on level playing field issues, and are close to finalising a joint document covering state aid. It’s also reported both sides are closer to deciding essential aspects of how any deal will be enforced.

The soundings bode well for Thursday when negotiations will move to Brussels where attempts will be made to narrow the remaining difference sufficiently by November the 3rd when the ball will be thrown back to Boris and von der Leyen to finalise a final compromise. Macron yet to budge on fishing…

Yes, as I posted yesterday, some significant concessions made by the UK is the we rumour coming out of Ireland. Let’s hope a deal can be done.

As you well know, that isn’t what those articles say.

I have no doubt both sides are compromising, which is how negotiations work.

What is interesting is that the Bloomberg article is framing the fishing issue as continued access to U.K. fishing grounds, rather than unchanged rights. Given we have already offered continued access, but with dynamic quotas, it appears the EU is preparing to move.

Whichever side of the brexit debate you’re on, you’ve got to admit those tweets are quite stupid.

Did this rumour you heard emanate from the same source who told you that Gove was going to resign amid the leadership contest last summer when there was the furore over Gove's drug taking shenanigans?

How did that work out? Where is Gove now?

What specific significant concessions are being/will be made by the UK negotiating team, and in what areas are those concessions being made?

Even if it is, if we'd have remained it would be zero tariffed.

It is a daft tweet or two.
