How do we think EU negotiations will go? (Vol 15)

I didn't vote for this - but I'll be damned if people who can't get over losing a vote five years ago want to drive the country into the ground because their noses are out of joint.
We've got no choice but to negotiate the best deal possible for the country. This is not a re-run of the referendum, it's preparation for life outside of the EU.
You are trying to ride 2 horses fella. We've got no choice but to negotiate the best deal possible for the country. This is not a re-run of the referendum, it's preparation for life outside of the EU.
"I didnt vote Leave" - yet - "Pounce upon all anti Leave talking posters"
I am not trying to rerun anything. I'll be here to give my point of view, thats all no more no less.
This thing will stretch to 2021 and beyond. UK will decline there is little doubt.
If reality is hard to read, that an issue for you.

If you are anti-Leave (your choice of words), your bus left five years ago. This seems hard for you to grasp. Your point of view is pretty clear, and your desperation for the UK to 'suffer' rather sad."I didnt vote Leave" - yet - "Pounce upon all anti Leave talking posters"

My only interest here is that we make the deal that gives us the best possible options in the long term. The "anti-Leave" posters who are only interested in a bad outcome for the UK need to take a long hard look at themselves. Whichever side you're on, indeed whichever country you're from, it benefits no one to chase ambulances in the hope of a messy outcome.

I nail my colours firmly to the mast and dont hide behind "I didnt vote" or a "family issue stopped me" (another pro Brexit poster). My only interest here is that we make the deal that gives us the best possible options in the long term. Put the information out front and centre as to why this has went down the tubes and I think we can all agree what was promised in 2016 has no basis in 2020.
It may save the next generation from falling for grifters like this:

Everyones ignoring your crackpot posts, here there's an echo chamber and you feel validated.

Sadly, you're just another fantasist who thinks that shouting about Farage will magically undo loosing the Referendum. It doesn't work like that.
We failed to make a strong enough case for Remain and the die was cast. Then we had four year of loons trying every last trick in the book to overturn a result that was never going to be overturned, however misjudged it was - and in the process doing more damage than they claimed the Brexiteers would ever do. Yet all we get is an unwavering belief that it was the other guys who caused all the chaos.
Brexit has been infinitely more disruptive than it needed to be, though clearly it was never going to be painless. However, there is absolutely no reason this country cannot prosper outside of the EU. Even the most extreme predictions show this is true. Regardless, it would be madness indeed to self-harm just because you didn't get what you wanted.

Ha, ha, my daughter isn’t dear stalky, Nightfox have dropped the case due to her taking advice from some very decent and clued up posters, apparently my son was her father, which is the bit that reminded you of your family tree and grabbed your stalky attention ,probably. . But thanks for reminding me to update that particular thread. Does this incessant rain not drive you even crazier pounding on your tin roof from cock crow to hedgehog time?
I'm not ranting about Johnny Foreigner and having debt collectors at my kids doors.A more apt stereotype couldnt be asked for, Excellent - thank you.

Is that the Royal "we" or actually you Tuna?
You'll be surprised to learn that I personally didn't run the Remain campaign - or, I suspect, influence anyone even within my own household. Remain was the clear choice for stability, and should have been an argument for a more pragmatic approach to membership of the Union. I disagreed with those who turned it into a holy war, but was more than happy to make the case for continuing the Union as an equal partner.
That said, the idea of the Referendum was pretty daft in the first place, so there wasn't much hope for nuance. Once it returned the result it did, that went even further out the window, and we were left with the holy war tribe where more pragmatic Remain voters accepted that such a significant political decision was something we would have to live with. I got very frustrated that those pragmatic voters - the ones not at the extremes of the debate - were roundly ignored for the majority of the last five years.

I have saved this screenshot. It speaks volumes.
Just jog on when I'm speaking fella, your opinions matter little. I'll just keep pasting your rant threads and daughters debt collectors.
I ignore the pub bore and will ignore you apart from pasting screenshots.
