They'll be lucky. As soon as he confirms he definitely has not won and has no chance of overturning the result, he'll flee the country to somewhere warm with no extradition treaty giving Biden the choice of either letting him Twitter like a deranged lunatic until he keels over or sending in a Seal Team to go grab him.

He's a coward. That's what cowards do. They flee.

Can he afford to with the asset seizure. They took $42m from Manafort for lying about the loans he go... trumps done that several times, then his tax affairs etc...

Then there's Ivanka and Kushners profiteering and favour gaining, those bailouts etc, not forgetting that Ivanka, Eric and Donald jnr are all implicated in the trump org tax fraud as directors.

I hope you’ve been hacked, @GovMikeHuckabee. Trying to undermine the faith of the American people in our democracy with this baseless voter-fraud nonsense? Publicly confessing to committing felony violations of AR Code §§7-1-104(a)(11)-(12)?

Not funny. Not cool. Appalling.

Rather than the china virus, perhaps this should now be called the Republican virus

Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.) has tested negative for coronavirus after two of her staffers tested positive.

Loeffler’s office said in a statement on Saturday that she was tested for COVID-19 on Friday after two of her staffers tested positive. It is unclear when the staffers were tested.

“On Friday, Senator Loeffler was tested for COVID-19 after learning that two of her Senate staffers had tested positive,” the statement said. “Senator Loeffler tested negative.

A cv-19 outbreak surrounding the president and team, around many senators and now an outbreak among the senior staff of Pence, the man in charge of the task force...

Then last night: Donald Trump attacked American Doctors and said they are fabricating the Covid-19 death count for money, told more lies about testing and counting

Just when i think i can't be any more astonished. This is the public tweeting of a senator, a person elected to govern in the interests of the people, someone that is implicitly trusted to uphold justice, morality and decency.

How do these people stil lhave a job? If i made statements like that in my line of work, i'd be out of a job in about 2 seconds flat, and yet it now seems to be totally fine for these people to do it?

Beecause the system is broken. You have a GOP now being open about voter repression. Trump has made them feel even more entitled. They have plenty of enablers that mean they can cling to power.

But what happens if they lose the senate? Graham goes, Mitch dies. What then? Ted Cruz? The idiot that doesn't wear a jacket?

I would like to think America is becoming more progressive and that Dems would hash the whole thing but I am not that optimistic.

We are witnessing in real time the fall of an empire.

Superb repl on Twitter to Trump's rant about Covid death reporting:-

Based on this logic, if I’m dying of cancer, and you shoot and kill me, you didn’t murder me, because I was going to die anyway.

Trump doesn’t care that we’re dying, he’s angry at how our deaths make him look. https://t.co/zig0f4m8Wa

Not a senator, 2 term Governor of Arkansas(96-07); still despicable behaviour though, hopefully some of the advertisers of his stupid talk show will pull their sponsorship.

Has anyone posted this before? I was listening to Desert Island Discs and this was trailed after it; David Frost interviews Joe Biden in 1987.

Sadly this thread won't die. Would we continue it, or start a new one as all the court cases come out the woodwork etc. It would be better to leave it all together as team Biden unpick all the hidden wrong doing?

SNL did a sketch in which they all stated that the country would be better off with Joe Biden as President – but that they were worried about what they’d have to talk about if Donald Trump is gone, but then one SNL cast member pointed out that if Donald Trump loses the election, with all the crimes he’s committed, he’s bound to go on many criminal trials... so they'd be ok.

Assuming he is defeated, at what point is he declared no longer President, at which point the FBI can send in a team to remove/apprehend him?

That's why Pelosi was talking about the 25th Amendment - suggesting it might be used to get rid of him quickly, if he loses.

You have to wonder who that was written by or if that law firm are honorary members of The Lincoln Project.

That goes beyond a simple legal "don't think so".

The total of aides around Pence in the coronavirus outbreak is up to FIVE people.

Asked about NYT reporting that he tried to keep the Pence world outbreak from becoming public, Mark Meadows tells @jaketapper
, “Sharing personal information is not something we should do unless it’s the President or the Vice President” or someone close them.

I unashamedly support right leaning politics, low taxes, free market economy, inclusiveness, strong military, small government....so there is already a bias built in.

The reason why I would vote for Trump, if I was a US Citizen.

Trump is unconventional, a maverick. During his term, he has for the larger part done, what he said he was going to do.
He works hard for the American people focusing on jobs, he’s a patriot and I like how he has approached foreign policy where surprising deals are now occurring.

I find it endlessly amusing how his deliberate diversionary tactics get the left leaning MSM and the Democrats frothing...meanwhile he carries on getting the job done.

On Mr. Biden. I am absolutely convinced through his family actions he is compromised. He is coming off a base of long term ineffectual and plainly incorrect policies over 47 years.

Bad news for trump, Youth turnout is up dramatically over 2016 in battleground states.

The Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement at Tufts University found that 257,720 voters from 18 to 29 have cast ballots already in Florida, nearly six times the number who had voted by this time in 2016.

In North Carolina, young people voting early jumped from 25,150 to 204,986; in Michigan, from 7,572 to 145,201; and in Arizona, from 18,550 to 99,049.

“In Florida, North Carolina, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and Michigan, early votes cast by youth have already exceeded the 2016 margin of victory in each state,” the researchers wrote.

The study also found voter registration among 18- to 24-year-olds was 34% higher than in November of 2016 in Georgia and 12% higher in Michigan, but down 3% in Pennsylvania.

Polls show young voters overwhelmingly support Biden over Trump

TAPPER: Pence was a close contact with Marc Short, who has tested positive for coronavirus, yet he's not quarantining. How is campaigning 'essential work'? He's holding rallies that could be spreading the virus.

MARK MEADOWS: "Actually, he's not just campaigning. He's working."
https://twitter.com/i/status/1320352926175514626

MEADOWS: We're not going to control the pandemic
TAPPER: Why not?
M: Because it's a contagious virus
T: Why not make efforts to contain it?
M: What we need to do is make sure we have the proper mitigation factors to make sure people don't die
https://twitter.com/i/status/1320353720132128768

Mark Meadows is making very clear on CNN that the White House has given up trying to contain the coronavirus. Their only strategy at this point is praying for a vaccine.
https://twitter.com/i/status/1320354224069292034

TAPPER: Why don't you ask people to wear masks at Trump rallies?
MEADOWS: We pass them out
T: They don't wear them!
M: Well, it's a free society. You're not wearing one right now, Jake
T: There's literally nobody in this room
