What makes people think Trump has their back? Clean coal bs will not fly and steel works will not come back. How stupid one has to be to believe those kind of promises. If some factory comes back from China it needs couple of security guards. Everything else is done by robots. Trump voters are dragging the USA through the gutter for no real gain at all apart from millionaires being richer than ever before.
It's not stupidity, it's desperation. There are millions of people in the rust belt living in towns decimated by the change in economy that has turned their towns into opium induced hell holes. Trump offered them hope compared to the Washington establishment, which didn't give a damn about their plight.

It's those people which will lose Trump the election if they judge he too has abandoned them.
Quite an achievement
An establishment figure, somehow convincing the mentally challenged that he was with them, fighting the establishment !
Similar to certain establishment figures, here in the U.K.
Thankfully they have been rumbled, their time is up

Early Voting in Harris County Texas (Houston) will Go on all night tonight. The number of people voting early in Texas will exceed the entire number of votes received (Including Election Day votes) in 2016.

If you get a chance to see the highlights of the Osoff / Perdue debate (GA) from last night do so. Osoff completely destroyed the racist Perdue to such an extent that Perdue has pulled out of the last debate.

Meanwhile Mike Bloomberg has poured $12 million into a final push for the democrats in Texas! And Ohio. Bloomberg isn’t bothering with PA, MI or WI at this stage he wants to see Trump humiliated by putting $6 million into Texas.

I posted one clip of Osoff, posted the full c-span. It's really worth a watch

SENATOR PERDUE DOES NOT WANT TO TALK ABOUT COVID-19, A PANDEMIC THAT IS KILLED NEARLY 25% OF ONE MILLION AMERICANS. HE WILL SPEND THIS ENTIRE DEBATE DEFLECTING FROM A SUBSTANTIVE CONVERSATION ABOUT THE MOST SERIOUS PUBLIC HEALTH CRISIS IN GENERATIONS. HE WILL LAUNCH FALSE ATTACKS, MAKE OUTLANDISH ALLEGATIONS, REPEAT THE SAME SIX WORDS OVER AND OVER AGAIN BECAUSE IT IS WHAT HIS HANDLERS IN IT WASHINGTON, D.C. AS TRADING DESK TRAINED HIM TO DO, AVOID RESPONSIBILITY AND AVOID A SUBSTANTIVE DISCUSSION OF WHERE WE GO NOW TO CONTAIN HIS VIRUS. PUT MEDICAL EXPERTS AND PUBLIC HEALTH EXPERTS IN CHARGE, NOT FAILED AND DISGRACE POLITICIANS.

20 minutes in:
THIS IS BENEATH THE OFFICE OF U.S. SENATOR. YOU HAVE CONTINUED TO DEMEAN YOURSELF. FIRST YOU WERE LENGTHENING MY NOSE AND ATTACK ADS TO REMIND EVERYBODY THAT I AM JEWISH. WHEN THAT DID NOT WORK, YOU STARTED CALLING ME SOME KIND OF ISLAMIC TERRORIST. AND WHEN THAT DID NOT WORK, YOU STARTED CALLING ME A CHINESE COMMUNIST. IT IS RIDICULOUS. YOU SHOULD NOT DO EVERYTHING YOUR HANDLERS IN WASHINGTON, D.C. TELL YOU TO BECAUSE YOU WILL LOSE YOUR SOUL ALONG THE WAY. WHAT THE PEOPLE OF GEORGIA DESERVE IS A SERIOUS DISCUSSION, ECONOMIC RELIEF OR GEORGIA FAMILIES, AND HOW WE WILL PROTECT COVERAGE FOR PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS.

etc etc

BREAKING: Senator Perdue just cancelled our final debate.

At last night's debate, millions saw that Perdue had no answers when I called him out on his record of blatant corruption, widespread disease, and economic devastation.

Shame on you, Senator.

Vermont's Secretary of State is not satisfied with Justice Kavanaugh's amended opinion, his lazy inaccurate and at times completely legally wrong defence of trumps wishes

"I will not sit idly by while Justice Kavanaugh uses factually incorrect information about the Green Mountain State as cover to erode voting rights."

The back-and-forth between Supreme Court Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh and the Vermont secretary of state continues to go, well, back and forth.

It started with Kavanaugh’s opinion Tuesday night explaining why he would not vote to reinstate a judicially imposed extension on receiving mail-in ballots in Wisconsin. Kavanaugh argued that state legislatures have primary responsibility to set election rules and to make exceptions to those rules because of the coronavirus pandemic. And, he said, inaction is up to the states, as well.

“A few states such as Mississippi no longer require that absentee ballots be received before election day,” Kavanaugh wrote. “Other states such as Vermont, by contrast, have decided not to make changes to their ordinary rules, including to the election-day deadline for receipt of absentee ballots.”

Vermont Secretary of State Jim Condos said that was wrong, and sent a letter to Supreme Court Clerk Scott Harris seeking a correction.

Condos, a Democrat, said the state had been active in making pandemic-related accommodations. In September it began sending every active registered voter a ballot and prepaid return envelope, to facilitate voting by mail. Additionally, he said, he authorized election officials to confidentially begin processing the returned ballots, so that there could be quick release of results on election night. That is why the state did not need to change its deadline for returning mail-in ballots, he said.

Wednesday night, Harris informed lawyers in the case that Kavanaugh’s opinion had been amended. It now read: “Other States such as Vermont, by contrast, have decided not to make changes to their ordinary election-deadline [emphasis added] rules, including to the election-day deadline for receipt of absentee ballots.”

It’s pretty slight and reminiscent of, well, the kinds of corrections reporters might make when challenged about something in a story.

Condos is not satisfied. “I’m glad he admitted a mistake and modified his opinion, but a one-word addition doesn’t go far enough,” Condos said in a news release. “I will not sit idly by while Justice Kavanaugh uses factually incorrect information about the Green Mountain State as cover to erode voting rights in the middle of a pandemic-distressed election.”

If that sounds as if Condos has a more fundamental critique of the court’s work, that would be correct. “Let me be clear: The larger problem with the justice’s concurring opinion, and the majority opinion largely, is not the absence of the word ‘deadline,’ it is the total lack of regard for the voting rights of American citizens.”

No word back from Kavanaugh.

Emails show the Pompeos mixed personal and official business:

"We view this as a family endeavor," Pompeo's son wrote. Susan Pompeo routinely gave instructions to State Department officials about everything from travel plans to restaurant reservations.

Here we go...

Potentially thousands of mail ballots requested by voters in Butler County, Pennsylvania appear to be lost, a county official says. The U.S. Postal Service has been asked to immediately investigate what happened to them.

A USPS spokesperson, meanwhile, said the agency is “unaware of any significant delays or issues and is in regular contact with the Board of Election as we work to locate and deliver ballots as they are presented to us.”

As of Tuesday, Pennsylvania voters are no longer able to apply for an absentee or mail-in ballot.

Nearly 40,000 registered voters in the county requested mail ballots. So far, only 24% of them have been returned to the county, by far the lowest rate among the state’s 67 counties. The county with the next-lowest return rate, Fayette, has received 50% of requested ballots.

Remember after the Biden rally where he stayed behind for over two hours and continued to answer questionsfom the crowd after the cameras were turned off.

Remember when trump flew out after his Nebraska rally, leaving his supporters behind in the freezing cold to make their own way back to their cars, because his campaign wouldn't pay the bus company and people refused to wear masks...

17 people who attended Trump's rally in Tampa yesterday needed medical attention. A dozen of those attendees were sent to the hospital. Trump addressed the crowd for an hour in 87 degree heat. Several attendees were helped out during Trump's remarks by medical personnel because of the heat. Water from a hose or hydrant shot up to cool off attendees.

Trump saw and said: "Are they friend or foe? ... If they're foe, let's take care of those sonofabhes."

Packed in, no masks, Florida the third highest state for new infections

Joe Biden held a drive-in rally with close to 300 cars in Tampa later in the day, and wrapped up his speech early after it started to rain.
"I'm going to shorten this for you all," Biden told the crowd. "Get out of the rain!"

And here we go with the faked story for the 'comey effect'

The Hunter Biden 'dossier' that went viral on right-wing internet sites and was later disseminated by Trump's close associates appears to be from a fake 'intelligence firm'.

The document, a 64-page composition that was later disseminated by close associates of President Donald Trump, appears to be the work of a fake "intelligence firm" called Typhoon Investigations, according to researchers and public documents.

The author of the document, a self-identified Swiss security analyst named Martin Aspen, is a fabricated identity, according to analysis by disinformation researchers, who also concluded that Aspen's profile picture was created with an artificial intelligence face generator. The intelligence firm that Aspen lists as his previous employer said that no one by that name had ever worked for the company and that no one by that name lives in Switzerland, according to public records and social media searches.

One of the original posters of the document, a blogger and professor named Christopher Balding, took credit for writing parts of it when asked about it and said Aspen does not exist.

At least two attendees of Trump's rally in Gastonia, North Carolina on October 21 have tested positive for COVID-19.

over 1000 deaths a day, over 9m cases now, the US number 1 in the world for cases, surpassing even India who has 4 times the population/

Edit:
The COVID Tracking Project
@COVID19Tracking
Our daily update is published. States reported a record number of cases—88.5k—and 1.3 million tests. 46k people are hospitalized. The death toll was 1049.

Gov. Gary Herbert
@GovHerbert
Utah is in a very serious situation. COVID-19 is the most devastating when hospitals are overwhelmed and unable to provide good care to everyone who needs it. We have seen this in Italy. We have seen this in New York. We could see this in Utah if things do not change.

Our hospitals cannot keep up with Utah’s infection rate. You deserve to understand the dire situation we face.

It's not looking good
“The bottom line this week is simple: The third surge is in full swing, hospitalizations are rising nationwide, and deaths have begun to increase in Wisconsin, the state that could be seen as the canary in the coal mine of this surge.”

The United States set a new record for reported cases this week, breaking 500,000 for the first time in the pandemic as the third surge continued to build across nearly every state in the country.

Today, the country recorded 88,452 new cases of COVID-19, its highest single-day total since the pandemic began. Over the past two weeks, 25 states have set a new record for cases in the past two weeks, including 17 states with record highs since last Wednesday.

The country reported a record number of tests, at 8.2 million, but case growth (24 percent) far outpaced test growth (9 percent), as we explained earlier this week. That’s also true for the entire month of October: Forty-seven of the 50 states, along with the District of Columbia, have seen cases rise faster than reported tests since October 1.

These cases are translating into higher numbers of COVID-19 hospitalizations in many states in every region of the country. All but 11 states saw a rise in people hospitalized this week, the largest increases occurring in the upper Midwest and Texas. Although we are not yet close to the hospitalization peaks of almost 60,000 that we observed in the spring and summer, the average number of people hospitalized this week rose to 42,621, a very substantial increase from the lows of about 30,000 that we saw just a month ago.

Yeah that’s a terrifying tweet for Americans to see.
He’s a few days away from an election result that could cost him everything and land him in prison, he’s probably not sleeping well.
Don't miss the tweet “Way ahead in Texas!” that’s not even true.
Then he tweeted “Watch the Great Red Wave!”
Then he posted the hashtag #BidenCrimeFamiily that’s not how you spell “Family.” (where are our dementia specialists? They've all gone quiet)
He also attacked ESPN reporter Darren Rovell, for reasons that aren’t clear. Trump also gave away that he doesn’t know who the Governor of Minnesota is.

He also previously tweeted: “The Fake News refuses to cover the fact that GDP went.” Then he deleted it.

The cook report are claiming Biden will have enough of a win on election night to make it impossible for trump to contest

What I am wondering is if this will be one or the rarest species of national elections—a wave election in a presidential year ending in a zero, meaning it will reverberate for a decade thanks to the coming redistricting. There are not a dozen Republican Senate seats that could fall, as Democrats suffered in 1980, but Joe Biden may well replicate Ronald Reagan’s 10-point victory over President Carter. The odds are it will be a bit less, perhaps in the 53 to 44 percent range, with 3 percent going to independents and write-ins, half of the number from four years ago.
