Dr. James Phillips, the emergency room physician who publicly criticized President Trump's decision to drive with Secret Service agents to greet supporters while he was hospitalized with COVID-19 in October, has been removed from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center's schedule starting in January, according to sources familiar with the situation.
Phillips is chief of disaster medicine at George Washington University and works as an attending physician on a contract basis for Walter Reed, which is located in Bethesda, Maryland. On October 4, after the president rode in his motorcade around the hospital, Phillips tweeted, "Every single person...in the vehicle during that completely unnecessary Presidential "drive-by" just now has to be quarantined for 14 days. They might get sick. They may die. For political theater. Commanded by Trump to put their lives at risk for theater. This is insanity." The tweet has since been deleted.
Walter Reed officials deny they made the decision to remove him, telling CBS News the hospital "provides requirements for contract positions. Schedules are determined by the contractor. There was no decision made by anyone at WRNMMC to remove Dr. Phillips from the schedule."

Florida police raided the home of a former state coronavirus data scientist on Monday, escalating a feud between the state government and a data expert who has accused officials of trying to cover up the extent of the pandemic.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement executed a search warrant Monday morning at the home of data scientist Rebekah Jones, who was fired by the state Department of Health in May. The agency is investigating whether Jones accessed a state government messaging system without authorization to urge employees to speak out about coronavirus deaths, according to an affidavit by an agent working on the case.
Jones told CNN that she hadn't improperly accessed any state messaging system and that she lost access to her government computer accounts after she was removed from her position.
About 10 officers with guns drawn showed up to her Tallahassee home around 8:30 a.m., Jones said. A video taken from a camera in her house, which she posted on social media, showed an officer pointing a gun up a stairwell as Jones told him her two children were upstairs. Jones said that the officer was pointing his gun at her 2-year-old daughter, 11-year-old son and her husband, who she said were in the stairwell, although the video doesn't make that clear.

Ivanka tweeted a photo of Donald Trump standing in front of Mount Rushmore, which just happened to be taken at an angle which makes it appear that his face is part of Mount Rushmore.
This is going over so poorly, Ivanka’s tweet already has more than ten thousand mostly negative replies in the two hours since she posted it.

Fox Business’ Lou Dobbs snapped at White House advisor Stephen Miller as he raged over why Republicans and the White House aren’t doing more on the president’s legal fight in multiple states.
Dobbs and Miller were largely in agreement as Dobbs brought up Ted Cruz’s public support for one lawsuit concerning the Pennsylvania election and offer to “stand ready to present the oral argument.”
But Dobbs was still angry at the rest of the Republicans for not doing more to defend the president.
“The president warns for months and months and months about mail-in ballots and the potential for fraud, and the Republicans do nothing, Stephen. Nothing,” Dobbs said. “What’s wrong with the Republican party?!”
As Miller asked if the U.S. is a “third world country” or “banana republic,” Dobbs remarked, “From your lips to God’s ears.”
“The reality is that this president right now is fighting — and let’s be straightforward about it — he’s fighting all alone,” Dobbs continued. “And Ted Cruz has stepped up to say he’ll argue before the Supreme Court. Why on God’s green Earth wouldn’t the White House jump on it?”
