Are these experiences up north? Reason for asking is that i've heard similar stories about areas around Yorkshire, but haven't experienced any of it myself.

Re how to get underage wife back in to the country I have no idea. Remember she was his cousin so perhaps got entry as some related family member (whether his or another relative already here). Our border force is pretty useless so I doubt they'd be any barrier to entry in reality.
