True but will it be divisive?
As divisive as Trump? No chance. The damage trump did to the USA is immeasurable.

You are having your usual rant about Trump but it wasn’t really applicable in this instance.
This is the Biden thread and it was a question about one of his tweets and what may come of it.

We’ll see...
All he has to do is create a platform for the Dems to win elections. If that alienates the core Trump support then it's tough st isn't it?
Have you seen what those dheads believe? You can't kowtow to bellends like that.
But you seem to have gone off on the Trump grr thing

Frankly, if he tweeted that the world is an oblate spheroid, Trump's core would suddenly claim it's flat.Next thing you'd be on here asking if that tweet was divisive.

I was actually asking whether people though that the presidential tweet stating get a vaccine or continue wearing a mask might be divisive.

My thoughts are that yes, it appears to be a divisive statement. But you seem to have gone off on the Trump grr thing
Going to war with the Germans was divisive at the time as well. Doesn't mean it was wrong.

Why would anyone who wasn't a dingbat find the tweet divisive? But you seem to have gone off on the Trump grr thing
I'd have thought the Venn diagram of trump supporters and anti vaxxers/maskers was pretty much a single circle.
Divisiveness is baked into the US political system until Trump and his acolytes are finished within the GOP, so everyone needs to work with that.

You’ve gone trump grr again

Sigh, not the tweet per se. The division that may be caused by introducing legislation that allows certain freedoms for people that have had the vaccination.
You’ve gone trump grr again
I can't take anything you say seriously so I don't think I'll bother replying to you again. You’ve gone trump grr again
It was a mistake to reply as I don't believe you post in good faith.

POTUS tweet
“The rule is now simple: get vaccinated or wear a mask until you do.
The choice is yours.”
Thoughts? Vaccination card to prove your status?
Divisive?
Decisive.“The rule is now simple: get vaccinated or wear a mask until you do.

So will it upset a few weapons grade, Trump supporting morons? Probably but who cares.

If you want to lose the mask but you're waiting and waiting for your turn to get vaccinated then I can understand you might be frustrated.“The rule is now simple: get vaccinated or wear a mask until you do.
The choice is yours.”

Divisive?
They're one third fully vaccinated at present.
Wouldn't it be less problematic, or even easier to administrate/police, to wait until everyone has been vaccinated and let everyone stop wearing the masks together from the same point in time onwards? In it together?
That is everyone who has taken up the option to get the vaccine. Anti-vaxxers and anti-maskers will be a nuisance anyway.
