Blimey.
I’m not saying this to stir the hornets nest, but I believe that this is the first time I’ve ever known anyone praise Joe Biden for his oratory skills, both in the speech writing itself, and in the delivery or his charisma.
Each to their own etc, but for an old guy with a known speech impediment I think it's more about the substance of it rather than the delivery. We've seen what happens when style is prioritsed (Boris and Trump) over substance.

I wouldn't say Trump has style, unless you mean a big bloke in an ill fitting suit with a flat, monotone delivery is now considered as stylish? We've seen what happens when style is prioritsed (Boris and Trump) over substance.

I think that several of you at are blinded by partisanship.
When it comes to memorable American political speeches, the average Joe, (excuse the pun), isn’t going to remember this one.
It was hardly MLK “I have a dream”, Kennedy’s “we choose to go to the moon”, or Eisenhower’s “beware the military-industrial complex”.
To be honest, to those of you suggesting that this is one of the greatest SOTU’s ever (!), I think the only people that you’re kidding is yourselves.

I don't think anyone has said that eh?For me, this SOTU speech was the right tone and content for where the USA finds itself at this moment.

This is already one of the greatest SOTU speeches I’ve ever seen. Gloves are off.

Was it?Right up there with SOTU that Eisenhower, Kennedy or Reagan gave?
You honestly thought that it was that good?

The irony is he claims it's everyone else who's "blinded by partisanship".
Why do you do that? Not just you, but several others as well.
The slightest bit of defence for Putin, even stating that you can understand why he has acted in a certain way automatically = ‘arghhh, Putin stooge’
Failing to blindly praise everything that Biden has done or said automatically = ‘MAGA extremist’.
It’s a really weak argument to make to suggest that anything but devout adherence must automatically result in the person offering the slightest criticism as 100% against a certain ‘side’.
It’s childish. It’s reminiscent of how primary school children act, where they either love something or hate something, with nothing in between.
Is this really where we are as a civilisation? Either 100% with us or 100% against us?
I find that quite concerning tbh.
Biden didn’t hold Israel accountable. Now his chickens are coming home to roost.
The president’s unwillingness to change policy on Israel created the conditions for the current political bind he faces

Nothing I see would suggest his chickens are coming home to roost.

A month late, but what the heck. Not just you, but several others as well.

Using Putin to make your point is batst crazy. There is nothing you can say “but Putin has a good point” about. Literally nothing. The only people who would even think of uttering words are exactly the type you’re claiming they aren’t. Only a full on Putin defender would think there is any good in him.
Most if not all on here who are opposed to Biden are there not for any reasons that they can articulate, but because they are fully onboard with the Trump lunacy. If anyone can articulate a good reason to oppose Biden then fine. The most we ever get is that he’s old, when Trump is virtually the same age. Yet there is zero criticism of Trump’s age.
