Taking the knee
Discussion

It was the other thread warrior who made an issue out of handful of fans chanting some BS about Boris, it was faintly amusing.
Third time lucky. Why should I criticize, and perhaps you could be blunt about the lyrics I should be critical of? Drill/rap is just another example of double standards, as well you know.
Personally I think it's a bit of a leap to go from football fans singing "no surrender" and "ten German bombers" to drill and rap music.Third time lucky. It's almost like you felt you had to come up with something associated mostly with black people to try to avoid criticising those fans singing "the old traditional songs" about the IRA and the Germans.
Which is a bit odd

which non racists has it made racists out of? Seems an extraordinary claim tbh.
If the England footballers kneeling for 10 seconds before a game has made someone racist, id probably suggest they were racist before the kneeling. The gesture is synonymous with BLM. Maybe they can use it in 10 years time when BLM is nothing but a memory, but today, right now, its BLM, just as it has been since they started.
Only person I kneel to is my wife and the queen. (and its not because my wife is black)
It doesn't matter anyway, they'll stop when all the supporters are back in, eventually. If you want support to tackle an issue, you need something people can buy into.
Kneeling isn't working.

You are trying to link racism to various things. So just set out your stall and be plain with the language. For me, drill goes far beyond a song about the IRA, and as an Irish citizen I could educate you on some British history regarding racism in respect to that one It's almost like you felt you had to come up with something associated mostly with black people to try to avoid criticising those fans singing "the old traditional songs" about the IRA and the Germans.

Oh, and the growing bromance with you and chrispmartha is quite sweet. I suggest you meet up.

Do you think its making people racist? What I’m suggesting is that if the England team kneeling for 10seconds or so is ‘making’ someone racist they were probably racist before the kneeling.

The fact is people like bhstewie are literally calling others racist on this very forum must because they don't agree with them. It's not progress is it.

No, you are constantly accusing people of things but not once backing it up and making things up.Oh, and the growing bromance with you and chrispmartha is quite sweet. I suggest you meet up.

Well i find the idea that people could turn racist because of England players taking the knee for 10 seconds ridiculous, but hey ho.The fact is people like bhstewie are literally calling others racist on this very forum must because they don't agree with them. It's not progress is it.

I'd wager no one in this thread has ever been in a situation and called another person racist to their face. Certainly not in the last 15-20 years. Yet a discussion topic online quickly descends into racism perceived by virtue of someone disagreeing with them.
That's where we've got to, well done BLM.

Oh just look through your posts, you're smart, very nuanced but it's obvious enough. Your bromance comment - grow up.
As I’ve said to you before, you’d be the first to want something backing up if someone accused you of sayimg stuff.

It’s not baseless, but anyway, if it was Stewie that asked you why mention me? And why make up the apologising thing, and for you to say ‘another baseless assumption’ is utterly laughable when you never back up anything you say/accuse people of saying things.
So, this Boris thing?
You must lead a sad life, you been chipping away all day on this thread. So, this Boris thing?
I’ve got a very busy few weeks ahead so will be having a break from posting after today

There you go again. The discussion itself is causing racism where it doesn't exist.

Why would you kneel to the Queen? Genuinely interested. The gesture is synonymous with BLM. Maybe they can use it in 10 years time when BLM is nothing but a memory, but today, right now, its BLM, just as it has been since they started.

taking the knee has no place in sport its a political thing

ifv you want to kneel ..kneel , if you want to give the power salut .. go ahead , just dont expect everyone tio agree with your point of view
But even if people don't agree, what do you think of people that pay to go to a football match and then boo their team before the match has even started?about time this woke brigade fked off

They paid to see a football match, not a bunch of simpering wet wipes pandering to a political cause. I’d boo as well if I’d paid up and got that rammed down my throat.biggbn said:

If I don't get one, I won't have to do it. Seems like a good deal.
