Sensitive, nope, not at all. Just old enough to know that 'taking the knee' has not only run its course, but had limited to no impact anyway. Good luck with the campaign.
Well you clearly took offence, it’s okay to admit it.

Few points:

1. What does your age have to do with “taking the knee” out of interest?
2. What do you mean by having no impact? If it’s aim was to gather attention then it has certainly succeeded in that and people like you can’t help but to discuss the topic.
3. It’s not my campaign, I’m not black nor a sportsmen.

I’d say I’m pretty neutral on the subject. I just wanted to point out, yet again that almost everyone who spouts “All lives matter” whenever BLM is on topic is a liar and hypocrite.

Oh dear, someone doesn’t know what virtue signalling is.
Not at all. I just read the twaddle you are pedalling and voila virtue signalling at its best/worst. Don't be too offended, you are not alone on this thread. So you go on preaching to the converted and the rest of us can just yawn and carry on.

Care to elaborate? At no point did I actually say what my position was on the BLM movement. Simply just pointed out that gammons who say “All lives matter” don’t actually mean it.

I think I was bang on the money, hence why you’re here whinging like baby, because you hate hearing anything that doesn’t align to your own opinions, which btw I bet are laughable predictable.

Tell me if I’m right - “all lives matter”, pro Brexit, pro trump, anti lockdown and possibly even anti vaccine?

Let me know

Millwall perhaps isn't the best vehicle to use as an example of how we should treat racism (nor is BLM, to be fair).
I may or may not agree with this posters other posts.
But he nails this thread with the above 3rd post.

“All lives matter”is the statement all the gammons like to keep trotting out in these threads.

Yes, “All lives matter” except of course the old and vulnerable that die from COVID, asylum seekers and who could forget, the poor and hungry children. Anyone else I forgot to mention?
All I know is BLM has set race relations back years,
Just as we were becoming colour blind and thinking
About the person as a person these bellends come along and now it’s not equality it’s special treatment
and positive discrimination, I’m amazed the push back isn’t harder, mind I most people see it as yet another way like extinction rebellion for unemployable cretins to find a way to make money ...

At least you’ve provided a valid reason for being against BLM. I tend to agree with part of your comment, I do think there is too much positive discrimination but I disagree with this “colour blind” mindset. Racism does still undoubtedly exist in the U.K.

That's wishful thinking I'm afraid.

I thought that Obama being elected in America was a real sea change then, to mark just two examples, during the Brexit campaign there were some very unpleasant clichés trotted out and Trump being elected too made me realise racism hasn't gone anywhere and probably never will to be honest.

And I'm not just talking about 'Black Lives Matter' racism, I'm talking about it all. It's obviously a human condition and will never go away sadly.

The question to me is whether going on and on about racism makes it more or less prevalent.

The blokes behind Extinction Rebellion want to end globalisation.
Not getting any traction.
Rebrand as Extinction Rebellion - and you get the support - to help achieve the original goal.

BLM is the same story.

Want to end racism. Fully agree.

Taking the knee. fking arse gravy.
Yep.

I’ve yet to see someone explain the gaping chasm of indifference between Colin taking the knee and suddenly doing it due to BLM.
Apparently I’m now meant to accept that taking the knee isn’t an endorsement of BLM, it’s in support against racism and oppression, yet it was nonexistent in the sporting arenas of this country for years after Colin Kaepernick started it until BLM used it to directly symbolise something else.....

I think it's just a distraction from trying to address racism. I think that most people who say it aren't actually intending to solve any problem.

Good grief.
So only black people suffer from racism? It’s only BLM and anything else, any other incident of racism either “doesn’t mean anything” or never happens in your narrow minded world?
Maybe racism as a whole needs to be addressed, regardless of who is doing it to whom?

Is anyone doing anything about the "All lives matter cause"? Or do people who go on about it just want to distract from those who are trying to address racism?

Big difference between playful hazing or teasing and the jump to racist torment and violence , we have come along way Let’s keep it up ,
when people come out with horrible racially based remarks most people find it repulsive and unpleasant , the racist is an endangered species thankfully ..

Irony is lost on these woke idiots. One day they'll land jobs and feel they have a stake in our society. Until then they'll waste their energy and pocket money on causes they have little if any direct knowledge of. But if it keeps them off the streets and occupied, there's no real damage done. I'll bet their parents are fed up to their back teeth with the never ending preaching.
