I plan to have a word about volunteering tomorrow, when I get my first jab.
I would say they've currently got far more volunteers than they need - I've been signed up for ages - both on the national system and with my local area - and not had a single shift. The national system only allocates you tasks within 25Km - and there are no national vaccination sites with 25Km of where I live.

My branded Hi-Vis vest is gathering dust - I might start wearing it when I'm out and about - get some respect :-)

I just spoke with some neighbours. A couple; he had AZ with no side affects, she Pfizer with a sore arm for 48 hours.
In terms of side effects I'm not sure how much can be read into sore arms. I give blood every 3 months, sometimes I walk away as if nothing happened, other times my arm feels like it's hanging off for about 24 hours and I get a bruise about 10 inches long.

Did you die? Or are you now a 5G hotspot?

Fantastic, it must be wonderful to have no room for doubt or to ever feel it is possible to ask an innocent question as to how something may be achieved. Are you new to the concept of a discussion forum or just a bit stupid?

If you want to find some true mood hoovers go and visit the covid cure worse than the disease thread.
Totally agree in that some posters on there need a break from that thread.

I know many of us in the UK look over the channel and wonder why the hell AZ stocks are sat unused, but I do wonder if the situation would be all that different here if the UK had bought the Russian and Chinese vaccines to get us going before our own one arrived on the scene. Sputnik V would appear to be an excellent vaccine, but I can only begin to imagine the conspiracy theories that would have begun to circulate. Take up here in Wiltshire would have probably been particularly poor.

Particularly when they see the word Novichok substituted by Sputnic

As expected overall numbers are still a bit low, but 2nd dose wave looks like it is starting to pick up

No. Got home to find wife in floods of tears. She'd phoned the hospital to find out if her mum was coming home...just waiting for TTOs and consultant yesterday...Today she's had a stroke..

.she wemt in 2.5 weeks ago with suspected covid and a serious heart problem. They can't do much with the heart, as she's die on the operating table, she never actually tested positive for Covid. They said they could see it on her lungs. I have no doubt she needed to be on oxygen for a week or so..but now the future is looking bleak. The best thing for her would be a bigger stroke that kills her.

Well, had my jab yesterday and felt like absolute death today. Didn't get much sleep last night but it's easing off now. I guess it would have been a lot worse with the full dose had I caught it.

Poor numbers so far this week but after reading the vaccine ministers posts he says it’s a supply issue and the amount they will be able to do in March will make up for the current low numbers
