I thought he was quite restrained, aka not enough swearing.

NHS Bulletin that 38-39-year-olds in England will be able to book on the central booking system from tomorrow.

A shame the one sensible COVID thread has been derailed by the nutters.

It’s a free country ( for the moment)

Just stick on topic will you or piss the fk off. This thread used to be about the thread title. Go fk yourself on your fking high horse. Getting so fking annoyed by you and your kind's bullst invading every part of civil discussion that I have had to be uncivil myself.
Yes, please remember this thread is to show that you care for society so much that you have had a vaccine and wish to be recognised for having done so.

We get it. If you justified your opposition to social distancing by claiming covid wasn't all that, you now have to double down and oppose vaccination. There are other threads for that.

I don’t oppose vaccination, I oppose unnecessary and coerced repetitive vaccination.

Who is coercing you to have a vaccine?

Yes it is.

This means there are other threads where posters are free to state that mass vaccination programs are bad, or that the government are trying to control us, or whatever.

People are also free to start more threads on why people shouldn’t be vaccinated if that is what they want.

I really think this thread should be left for discussing vaccination numbers, where we are with the age groups being vaccinated, and so on. I made the mistake of entering into some debate a few posts up, but this is not the place for it and I won’t be repeating that.

You oppose vaccinations against diseases you are emotionally invested in not believing in.

Perhaps a better term at the moment is nudging. It remains to be seen if a vaccine will be required for other activities in this country- which would be a roundabout way of coercing people to take the vaccine.

Anyway the underlying point stands - there is a trend towards unnecessary vaccination in this country.

Much of the resistance seems to be driven by paranoia.

No. I oppose vaccines that are not necessary for a large proportion of the population.

But hey ho let’s just medicate everyone - no biggie

eh? Genuine questions

When will the 5-9 year olds get theirs? will it be this year do you think?

If you have had you vaccine are you required to have you boosters each year for the rest of your life?

if you miss a bootser will you covid passport/NHS passport be invalid?

I can't work out whether Covid has created a load of new absolute mental cases or just lured them out of the woodwork.
I think some valid points are made, for example creeping acceptance from the general population on rules being changed with little Parliamentary debate.

But what fascinates me most is how so few people are of mixed feelings, or at least profess to be so.
It seems there’s a chunk of people who seem to be anti-mask AND anti-lockdown AND anti-social distancing AND anti-vaccine. As human beings we’re blessed with a vast spectrum of opinions, so it’s statistically quite unlikely to find many people whose views align so much. And to find so many on PH!

Or.... is it that people set a view to try to fit a narrative, and feel they can only ‘belong’ to that narrative if they take an extreme stance on everything?

just for clarity - Im all for the vaccine. Its great for the at risk and anyone that wants it.
Im all for social distancing, washing hands and the first lock down
Im all for sensible precautions that dont do more damage then the virus.

anyway back on topic.

when are the 5-9 being vaccinated any time scale on that or the 10-14 age group? will they need a booster every year to maintain their covid/nhs passport as being valid.

Does anyone know yesterday’s numbers?

If the under 40's and actually thought about it they may well come to the conclusion there is fek all risk to them of covid and question the need to even have this experimental vaccine.

We do know whats happening - look at the age/death charts. its fek all if you are under 40.
Do you really have to bring your anti-scientific ignorance into this thread, can't you stick to peddling it with all the others in the threads designed for it?

The number of people who don't seem to understand why we are pushing to get a certain percentage of the population vaccinated is quite depressing. This is basic epidemiology, yet it seems a fair fraction of people can't wrap their heads around it.

Is there any transmission going on? Would appear not given the “data”
If there was no transmission going on then we'd be down to no cases, which hasn't happened.

Where are you geting the idea from that people aren't catching it?
