My second jab is next Tuesday. Although invited to rebook for an earlier second jab the fact you had to cancel your initial appointment put me off. I was in 3 different parts England over a couple of weeks and there was no way to know whether I could find a suitable slot. Would have gone for it if I could have checked availability and moved the slot rather than having to cancel and rebook.
Agree - that would have been much better. Potentially there are a lot of people in the same position as you. I think the government should prioritise making this system change to allow alternative options to be presented, before you cancel your existing booking, as you suggest. Could make a material difference to the number of second doses given before stage 4 happens.jshell said:

I guess it would depend how you view the UK vaccinating young people with a tiny risk of death with the result we're taking vaccines away from other countries where people with a far larger risk are not protected yet, due to a lack of supply. Some people might regard that as a bit immoral/ Britain First etc.
On that basis, how much of current public spending would you like to redirect to foreign aid?21st Century Man said:

Had my second jab this morning. The AZ one. It wasn't that busy at the Vaccination centre today.
Same here. What struck me though is that I got my first jab at a big centre (Espom racecourse) and this morning's was in a little church hall. They were both just as slick. Very impressive. They did ask a few more questions about any history of blood clotting this time though....
My experience was a bit of a farce. I went to Alderley Park for my first Pfizer (site formerly owned by AstraZeneca). The queue for 2nd jabs was following freely but the tablet for first jab appointments had a flat battery, so had to queue outside for 15 mins then another 20 minutes inside sat down and then another 20 minutes outside the cubicle.
