Funny that. This is the second time I've mentioned Lt Col Ollie North but he said almost exactly the same thing !
Has Hancock been spending his time studying the man on YouTube ?

This is awful.

I’m a huge team player etc

Now making out the abandonment of the amber watchlist (designed to avoid people getting messed around like last year) and last minute change to Portugal was him being tough at the borders and being willing to make tough decisions.

Utterly awful seeing him mess up the sections of the economy with his incompetence and trying to save his own skin.
I watched that bit and had to turn it off, went and watched a sinking ship compilation instead, which, on reflection, wasn’t all that different…

It is unbelievably frustrating watching him sit there and genuinely believe that his handling of Portugal and the green list is actually a good thing. He recognises he’s caused a lot of grief for many folk, yet somehow spins it as if he should be commended for making a “difficult decision”. Yet he fails to realise that his tunnel vision and knee jerk reactions are not sensible, level-headed, pragmatic decisions.

Considering he was supposed to be the person who delivered Brexit because he understood the national mood, he seems entirely oblivious now…

Could we remove "Right Honourable" from the thread as this seems quite difficult to agree.................. I mean, if it said "complete tt" then sure, I'd be behind that....

Mod edit. Please do not bypass the swear filter.

Whatever you think of Cummings it's a crackingly addictive read.

"The No10/Hancock line now is as if No10 had said in summer 1940, ‘yes, our appeasement plan A was a great success on Hitler as you can all see, we didn’t need any Plan B, appeasement then fight them on the beaches was the original plan"

Cummings has pinned them. Bojo can't sack/reshuffle Hancock without looking like he's reacting to and confirming Cummings' allegations, so Hancock is stuck out in the open with no cover. Cummings can just keep plinking away at him whenever he feels that a bit more suffering is required. If Hancock starts trying to rebut Cummings' allegations, he just focuses more attention on them. Cummings doesn't need to or gain anything by trying to deliver a big killer blow. He can just keep torturing them by dripping this stuff into the public domain, repeatedly chipping away at whatever credibility the pair have. The more often you repeat a message, the more people start to accept it. "Hancock is useless and dishonest." "Bojo's cabinet is a joke. He appoints st ministers, slags them off behind their backs, but doesn't get rid of them."

That really is taking the mickey and saying "we can say and do what we like and don't care what anyone thinks". He even looked like he was trying to find the right phrase to wind people up. Nasty piece of work.

I guess we're back to Hancock's Half Hour...

I remember several months ago wkcock said he was holidaying in the West Country this year. Assuming his plans are still going ahead, it will be interesting to see what sort of reception he'll get from the locals. I almost feel sorry for him!
