Frottaging at work whilst you are telling the rest of the country to social distance is pretty key IMO.

Being at work, fq me even having a piece of cake is broadly fine. But Hancock took that over the line and was caught on ccTV in his workplace doing so.

I had no issue with much of what he said or did during Covid. It was an impossible situation. But that bit sunk him and rightly so.
Well I think it's sad that people like Bill Clinton who oversaw a ten year economic boom gets remembered for a semen stain on a blue dress.

And this didn't help him, partly because the video footage of him behaving like a spotty teen who's just "scored with a chick at a party" for the first time was pretty revolting

but also because he was preaching lockdown and not seeing loved ones and was the face on all the policies that stopped people being with loved ones when they were dying. Friends of mine who went through that will never EVER forgive the conservative party animals for carrying on as they pleased while hospitals were implementing the isolation protocols and they weren't allowed to even hold a loved one's hand while they were dying, or even say goodbye - except by phone or video call. Not ever.

Remind me how long it took him to resign, and how many ministers were wheeled out to protect him during the initial media furore.

Respect? Not a chance.

Some very basic googling:

1) Numerous breaches of the lockdown regs (including the affair, but also drinking on the commons bar beyond curfew
2) Lying about the national shortage of PPE saying there "never" was a shortage
3) Whacking old people with COVID into care homes, possibly causing the untimely death of many people
4) Awarding PPE contracts to family firms (with no history of you know, making PPE)
5) Getting 300k to appear in the jungle

Calling him a murder is hyperbole, but in my opinion comes across a slippery, odious little like many others in the party.
I genuinely cannot think of one redeeming feature. It's a mystery to me how he has achieved high office.

There are plenty of widely despised politicians, but most of them have at least one strength. Gove is reputedly excellent at getting things done, Boris had a real charisma in a lot of people's eyes.

But Hancock? Nothing. He appears to be pretty incompetent, he's completely devoid of charm. He's basically Alan Partridge but set in Richmond House rather than a Radio Norwich studio.

This could be said about many politicians. He does not deserve to be called murderer just because he happened to be in charge of health at the time.
I believe the people outside are family and friends of the people who died in the care homes. They invited these deceased relatives to the hearing but I don't believe they invited people's relatives who died due to lack of 'nhs' and who might have survived, for example if they received early indication of cancer.

So given matty was chief mouthpiece who gave these orders, he is therefore the 'murderer'.

As he was in charge, he should have led and considered the wider implications of lockdown on the health service and the unindented consequences. Or maybe he/they did and decided the other deaths where necessary to counter covid.

Jesus Christ people have a short memory. No wonder we end up with pr!cks like Johnson in charge FFS!

Hancock went on TV and told people that they weren't allowed to even see their dying relatives. People had to have their last words with a loved over a fking conference call.

Then they weren't allowed to hug their family at the funeral, if they were one of the handful of people that were even allowed to attend.

Did people not see the fking Queen sitting alone at the funeral of her husband of 70 odd years?!

Meanwhile, this fking human slime is knobbing his piece on the side like its nothing.

And people come on here and ask what he did wrong. wkers.

I personally don't think him having an affair is anyone's business but his.
This is the subtext you missed!

It makes me furious that people make apologies for Hancock and his ilk. I'd gladly see them strung up for their deliberate breaking of their own extremely strict rules and then lying about it afterwards.

Johnson and his garden party (with booze) with his wife and fking baby in attendance.

Cummings on his jaunt up to see his folks and a trip around a tourist sight on his wife's birthday weekend.

Hancock and his inability to keep it in his pants.

Absolute shysters the lot of them.

100% this - well put and spot on - He's a prick for all of the above - it's clear that those in authority were well aware of the true risks and yet got drunk on the power - they've all got found out to be the s they are..............

The bloke is a total wker. I really hope the covid enquiry finds that all his lockdown harder & faster to be the total guff I & many many others can see. Not holding my breath & fully expecting a whitewash.
I do wonder if he has enhanced security - there are some VERY cross people out there who could potentially get quite violent towards him.
