Wobble-heid's appearance tomorrow should make for good watching then. I'll need to get more popcorn in as Salmond's performance last week cleared me out.

I've been catching up with the thread, quite a few jaikets on shoogly pegs now!

Lim - you said: “Aberdein’s evidence won’t be used in any form.”

But the Aberdein statement actually says “I was informed by the clerks of the committee in January this year that, for legal reasons, they had taken the decision not to publish my submission in any form.”

It could - for example - be used without being published. Or it could be published by someone other than the clerks of the committee. Possibly both.

I’m not sure of the difference. Who can it be used by?

If the evidence is not published, is the committee able to talk about it at sturgeons hearing? Is Hamilton allowed to consider it in his report into code?

The Hamilton report is a different entity to the shambles of the Fabiani whitewash. I am given to understand that Hamilton already has Aberdein's submission admitted into evidence - so even if the Fabiani farce refuses to take it as evidence, Hamilton still can/will. I sincerely hope that they are pressured into taking the evidence by Salmond's lawyers, as that will make all the difference for tomorrow's session with the Wurst Miniature.

Times really have changed, regardless of the hype trying to convince us otherwise the truth is out
and huge numbers of nationalists are no longer accepting SNP deceit and abject failure.

I thought this was worth sharing. I think we can safely say peak Sturgeon has long passed. Wow.

'I hope the last few days and weeks have been horrible for Nicola Sturgeon, sleepless nights, sleeping pills,
waking up and immediately all of this racing through her mind, guts knotted, anxious, moments of internal
panic that need to be suppressed.

Basically a tiny tiny fraction of what she subjected an innocent man to, for what, two years…

At least Salmond could reassure himself that he was innocent during his horrendous ordeal.

Nicola in contrast knows she is as guilty as sin.

I hope Sturgeon and her vile cabal of plotters are put the same ringer they so causally put Alex through…
I want to see some of them go to jail for what they did, including the barefaced liars in court.

There should be serious consequences for what Sturgeon did.

And to think it seemingly done for her grubby personal ambitions. Sturgeon deserves everything she gets
at this point and more.'

Exactly.

It may also be an example of a circumstance in which redaction is appropriate.

Apart from all the other shenanigans, I think this could cost SNP seats in the election...

Moving the goal posts again. It will be bad when footage of people sitting in the pub in England is all over the TV. The SNP have the younger, working class vote, those will be most hit by this continual tightening of restrictions.

Yup, faced with every reason to lift restrictions, Sturgeon along with her cabal of fanatical zero-covid and prohibitionist inner circle desperately move to find ways to keep everyone in fear of COVID VARIANTS!

One can only hope these are the dying gasps of a tired, redundant, corrupt administration who have completely lost touch with reality.

One of the members of the committee looking in to all of this was on radio four this morning and he stated the the Scottish government has to be informed of the legal concerns pertaining to any action they may take but it does not have agree or abide by such legal advice it just has to have sort it.

If this is the case how will old slippery salmon prove a breach of the ministerial code?

I don't think the legal advice is supposed to prove (yet another) breach of the ministerial code, just to highlight that ScotGov pressed ahead with action that they'd been advised they would certainly lose, at taxpayers expense, with the hopes that the criminal case would overtake their actions and bail them out.

Wolffe asked this morning why the Parliament was lettered but not the Speccy.

Completely avoided answering the question.

It astounds me that witnesses are being allowed to get away with this. Surely, if an answer is not given to a legitimate question it should be asked again, and if the witness refuses to answer then the refusal is noted for appropriate escalation before the committee move on?
