Her supporters know she made an arse of it but they're presenting a united front. Nothing can be allowed to damage the fight for independence. She could of stood up and gone full "A Few Good Men" and they'd still support her

Why would she resign? Her popularity in some floating voters may have taken a hit but she'll still comfortably win the next elections

If you're an Indie supporter who thinks she's a treacherous lying incompetent. Who else will you vote for?

I'm sure it's a complete coincidence that those voters who are mostly likely to need a lift to the polling station are also those voters least likely to vote SNP. rolleyes
Given all that is going on in the run up to this election I hope there’s going to be a very robust system of verifying postal votes .

Yep

You have to write your SNP membership number on the front so they can ensure it is valid

AND

Because of a possible plot by the unionist to flood the system with false voters they are brining in a voter ID system

BUT because of time contraints only one for of ID has been deemed acceptable

If that’s what passes for an assured performance..
I will hate to see her on a bad day.

There is a vast yawning chasm between her and Salmonds performance.

Wings on the supposed increase in new SNP members last night following Sturgeon's appearance yesterday -

"The SNP’s astroturfing operation has long been an embarrassment, but last night it hardly even bothered making the effort. A handful of accounts with 23 followers and six tweets in five years all announced they’d joined the party – just barely enough for MPs and activists to have several to retweet – and a scattered few punted the “7000” figure (along with the one poor sap who’d been fed the “10%” line instead) for the same reason and lo and behold there was a narrative."

And an example of the responses on twitter to this membership explosion laugh

Angus must surely be busy readying another poll in time for the Sunday papers.

It's fooling her supporters.

One of them I know was on arsebook saying what a good performance she gave.

These clowns really are blind to what their leaders are doing to their beloved country.

It's actually quite sad.
My dad despises her and he thought she was excellent yesterday, as he said, consumate politician, obfuscate, play with emotions, bluster...EA, it's all in the game. The whole lot of them are a bloody disgrace, she is just the same as the rest, I wish her supporters would realise that.

Trump has set the standard now; they have to be dragged out of office.

Why do people say comfortably win. They never comfortably won last time did they, aren't they a minority government?

Welcome back EV!

Nah, you missed nothing. Just the usual obfuscation from the SNP, and something or other about an 'inquiry'?

Yeah, that!

Where does one start.......?

Suffice to say this for now....

Yesterday Sturgeon joined the ranks of Bill Clinton and Tony Blair – the politicians that everyone knows lied, lied and lied again to save themselves rather than the usual political mendacity required to get a policy accepted or grease the wheels of a process.

There is not (yet) one single overarching lie that everyone knows to be false that her credibility is completely shot, but there are a significant number of people who walk this earth now who KNOW she lies. When Sturgeon said she didn’t know the identities of all the complainers at the criminal trial a group of people know for a fact she is lying. When Nicola feigns a marital relationship with Peter Murrell there is a group of people who know how the Murrel’s present their relationship is a lie. When Nicola appeared on TV with a perfect coiffure during lockdown 1 claiming to have cut and styled her own hair there was a stylist who knew she was lying.

Nicola lies and will sacrifice anyone to preserve those lies and save herself, and she now has a target on her back for that reason (from all sides - the opposition parties, the media and from within her own organisation where trust has now evaporated).
