Interesting that it was Swinney who was sent out today to criticise the assembled groups of football supporters in George Square and outside Ibrox. Always the fall guy because Nippy's 'popularity' has to be preserved.

He'd be as well wearing a gimp-mask all the time, because that is the only purpose he now serves in this government.
Ibrox is in Nippys constituancy. Cant condem those who voted you in. hehe
Pretty sure she's Govanhill, not Govan.

She has Hampden, not Ibrox.
She used to be the msp for Govan. That constituancy was abolished when her new Southside constituancy was created.
https://www.snp.org/your-team/nicola-sturgeon/

If Ibrox isnt in it, it must be marginal as a fair bit of the area of Govan is.

No she doesn't. She is Glasgow Southside MSP which has Ibrox but not Hampden.

Swinney still not out of the woods...... https://twitter.com/AgentP22/status/13688770349868...
So VoNC to get Swinney out then Hamilton inquiry forces Queen Nic to resign? SNP would be in utter disarray going into the election and the independence movement would be derailed as a consequence. But they'd still be the largest minority.

I think both sides of the debate need to accept the other side exists and there's a need to get along; with the Sturgeon regimes refusal to accept the democratic result of '14 and using every slight excuse to criticise the status quo more than half the population has been alienated and opinions are far too polarized to continue to coexist peacefully. There's a need for a permanent solution and it will not be found without dialogue, something which is non-existant at the moment.

The education report will make good reading, although that's being sat on until the elections are passed. I can't think why...

The education report will be another whitewash like everything else under the SNP.

From what I have been hearing through work, many top Scots academics had their research and input rejected because they had previously been publicly critical of Curriculum for Excellence and/or the Scottish educational institutions that are the SQA and Education Scotland.

Once again, scrutiny is not welcome.

Check out this garbage released today - blatant SNP propaganda published under the umbrella of the Scottish Government. Take a read through it if you have a strong stomach, it's nauseatingly dreadful.

Supposedly Impartial Document said:
This short Scottish Government policy document, which builds on and updates Scotland: a European Nation, describes Scotland’s constitutional history and the country’s status as part of a voluntary union of nations, and its current powers. It also reaffirms the Scottish Government’s intentions in respect of the European Union. This document sets out how Scotland has been - and always will be - steadfastly European, whatever path others choose to take, and gives a tangible flavour of ways in which the Scottish Government wishes to make that mind-set a reality in the months and years to come.
The part in bold is especially interesting. The Treaty of Union says this -

Treaty of Union said:
That the Two Kingdoms of Scotland and England, shall upon the 1st May next ensuing the date hereof, and forever after, be United into One Kingdom by the Name of Great Britain
The Nationalists have couched it in terms such as 'voluntary', so as to imply that Scotland may unilaterally withdraw it's consent to remain in the union at any time - to refuse permission otherwise would no longer be 'voluntary'. Words and phrases always have meaning and intent with the SNP, nothing they say nor terminology used is anything other than considered to maximise the grievance against 'the English'. Most of them still believe it's 1745, and there is a war to be fought.

Anyway, the rest of the document is an open love letter to the EU, so sickeningly ingratiating and fawning, prostrating poor wee Scotland to the benevolent and gracious EU, to save us from the vile tyranny of the English overlords and oppressors. This is drafted, reviewed, approved, and published by the Scottish Civil Service, whom the nationalists would have you believe are in hock to their masters in Whitehall.

Just SNP party propoganda. Misleading statements like "The EU single market is Scotland’s largest international trading partner. ". While true it ignores the fact that the large majority of our trade is within the UK.

Breaking news!! The Scottish Greens have lost their backbone. On the BBC they are reported as intending to vote with the govt in the no confidence motion on Honest John Swinney.

Swinney "can't find minutes of the crucial meetings".

Fantastic stuff!

Records of key meetings attended by Nicola Sturgeon about Alex Salmond scandal cannot be found, says John Swinney

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2021/03/09/re...

Personally, I don't care whether Scotland stays or goes. But, if these are the people to lead an independent country to the sunlit uplands........?

Wonder what crumb nippy threw them for them to bend the knee...

I see Rangers FC have published a rather damning letter to them.

Don’t care for football but it is a very fact filled letter and blows the rubbish spouted out the water.
