A socialist from Dundee sat in front of a grand fireplace with a picture of Churchill, now best pals with tweedwearing toffs in the countryside? (Nothing wrong with that) but shows he's a complete and utter narcissist.
I am not sure anyone is denying that - I saw him speak at a debate 30 years ago and he was eloquent, charismatic and persuasive - still a cock whose political views I disagreed with.Discredited washed out former parliamentarians starting brand new political parties to revitalise their profile and career is nothing new.

After the success of the last one? We should be grateful that this one has gone into the long grass - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Our_Powerof this parliament, where is it?

Wow - £10m of money on that one.Seems the SNP have burnt nearly half a mile on the new one, too, assessing business case etc.
Regulations for Monday onwards have actually been published in the morning of the business day before this time, not after they became law like the last time. https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ssi/2021/193/conten...
This page caught my eye - https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ssi/2021/193/regula... - it appears to be tightening (or re-tightening) tier 4 regulations on outdoor meetings.
It also appears travel to the Republic of Ireland has been prohibited if I read this right - https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ssi/2021/193/note/m... - last section & https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ssi/2021/193/regula...
Oh - the 40mph restriction over the Woodside Viaduct on the M8 now has a statutory basis until the end of September, so it looks like those roadworks are going to be there for a while. Having read the description of what needs done, it's not a surprise - https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ssi/2021/189/conten...

Thanks for this - am I reading it right when I deduce that the restrictions in level 0/1/2 are loosening? This page caught my eye - https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ssi/2021/193/regula... - it appears to be tightening (or re-tightening) tier 4 regulations on outdoor meetings.
Would all be fair and justifiable potentially if they then implement their own definition of what a level 0/1/2/3/4 area is.

I always find reading amended legislation a nightmare when it is only the amendments.
Is there any way of reading the amended legislation in full?
Not that I'm aware of. You can see the previous version - https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ssi/2020/344/conten... and move the timeline around to see how it's changed, but it only appears to include changes up to the 16th April. Is there any way of reading the amended legislation in full?

Generally, though I think the changes at level 1 might make hospitality more restricted rather than less by prohibiting food & drink sales between 2300 - 0600.Would all be fair and justifiable potentially if they then implement their own definition of what a level 0/1/2/3/4 area is.

Ah right, I was looking at what I assumed to be numbers of people and households and from a quick scan I thought they had all increased, it's not going to impact me overly anyway.sherman said:

The whole thing is a bloody mess. This page as at 1455 today has two seperate tabs for what the rules are for weddings at level 0. One says 100 guests max and the other says 200 max.
https://www.gov.scot/publications/coronavirus-covi...
The timetable for going to level 0 is late June. And of course with SNP logic level 0 is not no restrictions. Still no night clubs. Masks everywhere. And those 100 or 200 wedding guests need to be 2m apart.
All this after the at risk population is fully vaccinated and ICU numbers are tiny and going down. What will it take to just get back to standing in the pub?

Am I reading correctly that in level 0 you have to be seated to order and consume any sort of food or beverage?
Seated to order it as well - from https://www.gov.scot/publications/coronavirus-covi...Scottish Government said:
Notes:
table service is required at all levels
takeaways permitted for alcohol and food at all levels
there is no meal requirement where alcohol service is permitted
ongoing mitigation measures continue to apply i.e. face coverings when not seated, 1 m physical distancing, enhanced hygiene protocols

Sturgeon says she wants borderless trade with the UK and the EU after indy. Does the daftie not realise it is either or not both.
Also repeats the old lie about the EU being the largest single market in the world. Pish. India and China are larger in population terms. USA is bigger in cash terms. The EU has just shrunk after losing one of the biggest economies in the world.
She really hasn't a clue. No wonder she dodged QT.
