He makes Mr Bean look competent, plus what exactly is the point of Swinney these days anyway?
Bearer of news that’s likely to be unpopular? Can’t have Oor Nicky announcing that.Edited by Evercross on Sunday 10th January 19:17
Swinney would fk the message up.

There does seem to be a growing movement to get shot of the poison dwarf. Hopefully just a question of whether it ends up death by a thousand cuts or a smoking gun finishes her off.
Can't come soon enough.
If you fancy a wager, Ladbrokes are offering 5/2 on her not being FM on 1st January 2022. If you reckon she'll last another year, it's 2/7. In terms of replacements, currently Angus Robertson & Kate Forbes are 4/1, Swinney 6/1, Cherry 10/1, Yousaf or Brown 12/1Can't come soon enough.

I'd say Forbes is the most likely. In the eyes of SNP supporters, she pulls off the "northern Jacinda / I'm a poor wee woman treated so unfairly by the big bad establishment" look that has made Sturgeon popular among those who don't scratch beneath the surface.roadtripboy said:

Eye candy, but she's really not that bright and has a delivery that makes Starmer seem dynamic.Interesting that Roberston is joint favourite considering he isn't even eligible (yet) - the notion that he is being prepared for coronation has clearly registered.
Swinney - probably the best choice in terms of not being a complete turn-off or numpty. He's a nice guy and he's done it before, but having been hung out to dry too many times now by Sturgeon has fatally weakened him.
Cherry - the most formidable, the most intelligent and also the scariest prospect IMO. She's the Corbyn of the SNP in terms of her extremism. Personality-wise though she's a dead loss and would be a PR turn off.
Humza - they don't call him "Yousless" for nothing.
Brown - who?
Have the odds actually increased in last week?
Seems to me most were expecting a bit more juice from the statement. But it was mostly the same stuff restated in firm tone. Unless I’ve missed something.
As mentioned, the legal stuff is trundling on regardless of press. And is unlikely to be swayed by Twitter trends.
So what is moving the needle on the odds?

bookies odds are not an exact measure of how likely something is to happen, they swing with where the money goes. Seems to me most were expecting a bit more juice from the statement. But it was mostly the same stuff restated in firm tone. Unless I’ve missed something.

more people stick money on something- the odds go down (because bookies don’t like to lose money) as the odds go down they can increase the odds on other outcomes to weigh up the other side.

Assuming you meant that seriously, Keith Brown, Depute (why not deputy?) leader of the SNP (but not deputy First Minister, that's Swinney), currently a backbench MSP for Clackmannanshire & Dunblane but a former minister. Seems to appear on the front of the National quite a lot. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keith_Brown_(Scottis...
She didn't like the Sky question at lunch time!!
If looks could kill.
I think every journo should use the briefing to ask questions only about the Salmond matter.
Pretty sure that would get her off the TV pronto.
She could then fix the absolute mess that is home schooling if this morning is anything to go by....

In the same way she fixed us a bridge, an airport and a couple of ferries? Leave her on the telly, if she's on that at least she's not fking something up elsewhere. If looks could kill.

And my complaint is in relation to an "annointed" East Ren school. Best schools in the country my arse.

The cult of Sturgeon may at long last be in it's death throes - the Wings article linked below is incendiary, and the comments section is stuffed to the rafters with nationalists who are less than complimentary about the Dear Leader. She is shortly to appear under oath before the committee - what's the odds of an imminent retirement on health grounds? I hope this all comes out very soon in a most dramatic fashion - her downfall from her lofty ivory tower will be spectacular and glorious.

Connect the dots … who in the Crown Office is closest to the Scottish Government & its Civil Service?
It is obvious to anyone with an IQ greater than the number of walnuts in a Walnut Whip, that there is a corrupt relationship between key members of the Scottish Executive, the Civil Service & The Crown Office & a culture of corruption within the Office itself.
Never forget, that in the public sector, not unlike the private sector, the culture of any organisation is invariably a reflection of the character at the very top. The pyramid below is, where possible, is orchestrated to mirror the ambitions, aspirations, values & objectives of the lead person.
While no conspiracy theorist, you do have to wonder how it is that at least four people, independent of each other, except for their strong ambition for Scottish independence & deep suspicion of the true intentions of Sturgeon’s government, have now all been arrested on ridiculous charges, three of whom so far have been, thank goodness, wholly acquitted.
This is a blatant pattern of political persecution against people who one could reasonably conclude are viewed as a threat to the Scottish Government & the pillars of Establishment it has surrounded itself with.
This is the sort of behaviour we assume is normal in a developing banana republic, not in a first world, western European country that likes to imagine itself as a progressive democracy.
This, ladies & gentleman, is Sturgeon’s Scotland.
