Am I the only one really looking forward to Trump's speech at the CPAC thing this evening?? I think I may actually be 'missing him' - note(!) this is in the same way that you want to see what has happened in a car crash but don't wish the crash on anyone - an effort to keep it on a motoring forum smile
I have found it literally unendurable to hear the tango tosser's voice for months now. It will be interesting to see if he says anything particularly nuts, but I will read about it afterwards rather than watching the slimebag.

I actually miss the way he talks. The way he says 'Georgia' and the way he slows to say big numbers - millions and millions - like we should be impressed. And the way the things he did - or claimed to do - "had never been done before", "had never been seen before"

Knock yourself out:

Is the CPAC thing his first formal public speech since he lost the presidency?

He was nearly an hour late to give his speech, and I watched clips on Twitter and it was the same rehash of stuff he has said over and over again.

And yet we have a poster in the Biden thread saying how good it was.

I am genuinely lost as to how anyone could actually believe what he says so they must have an agenda.

I bet he didn't even watch it. He posted in the wrong thread simply to troll.

Just makes you realise what an absolute he is.

Also a fking massive LOL at Josh Hawley being willing to burn democracy to the ground only to poll less than 3% support even at CPAC, a place full of actual Nazis.

Trump won’t run again. He’s continuing the grift because he’s in deep financial and legal trouble and he knows it.

He will. That IS the grift.

I'm not even sure at this point if he'll make an effort to deliberately tank so he doesn't end up accidentally winning like he did last time as now he's had a taste of ACTUAL power, a narcissistic prick like he is won't be able to resist, especially as his list of enemies is now so much longer.

I think he'll pull back at the last minute. Why do all the work that POTUS needs when you can get the big crowds cheering your name, the $$millions in donations, numerous interviews on Fox.

he basically wants everything apart from the responsibility, and that's what he'll be focussing on for the next few years.

course he is because;

1) he can continue to grift the public and funnel money to himself / businesses as he choose (the post-election 'stop the steal' grift allegedly raised a huge amount but only registered a small spend....)

2) favourable deals with 3rd parties / countries for his businesses / family

3) immunity from prosecutions via a compliant AG / justice department, as per last administration

4) he's a massive narcissist

Exactly. the whole point of the rock'n'roll is the sex and drugs. Why bother with the former when people are queueing up to give you the latter?

I think he'd be happy yo be President for another term, hand the reins over to Ivanka.

It really doesn't appear as if he actually did much hard work, rather he listened to the loudest voice nearby on an y given day and followed whatever policy that was.

He's completely insane, horribly, horribly unwell & horrifically deluded. Genuinely believes that he did a great job (the best, the greatest ever! rolleyes) He definitely wants the Presidency again, believes that he never "genuinely" lost it. So there's no way he'll pull back at the last minute especially as he never accepted responsibility for anything anyway. He just wants to pick up where he left off, bask in the adulation, attend endless Rallies & corrupt & thieve his way to as much Cash as is possible whilst doing as little as is possible, all in the belief that it's his devine right to hold Office. He'll definitely run again & there's no way he'll willingly hand over power to anyone, ever, Ivanka included.
