I'm neither jealous or envious of Biden, but I wouldn't mind owning his car.

In fact, since the pres. isn't allowed to drive himself, I'll kindly look after it for him for the next 4 (or 8 wink) years.

Does Trump even own a car?

Along with his excellent, albeit poorly coloured car (should have been a bold red or blue) I'm jealous of Biden's confidence with people and ability to make deals. These are traits I value and would like to have.

As for Trump, if I feel anything beyond utter contempt for the apricot arse, it's pity.

Yep, pity... You're thinking that "he's rich and has a wife that would bang like a flyscreen door in a hurricane, what is there to pity"... but you've got to realise he's a deeply unfulfilled man. Sure he (once was) rich, but if that's your sole criteria I'd rather take Larry Ellison's fortune, 1. he's actually made money, 2. I'd feel good because Oracle are a complete cunch of bunts... But I digress, back to why I feel pity for the tangerine turd.

Lets be honest, his three wives have been bought and paid for. Now don't get me wrong, I've nothing against the working girl or the John (I don't consider it a sin to go to or be a sex worker), nor do I look down on the sugar daddy thing, both parties get what they want but his relationships seem to be excessively transactional, far beyond the most mercantile of Johns or Pros. Don is utterly incapable of forming a proper relationship with women, I have no doubt he sees his wives as chattel, I'm not feeling much sympathy for Melania either, she knew what she was getting into and I'm sure she's crying into her wardrobe full of designer handbags.

It's not just his relationship with women that is entirely unnatural, trump was born to an abusive father who pitted him against his siblings. That might garner some sympathy like I have for Fred or Mary Trump if it weren't for the fact Donald perpetuated the cycle of abuse with his own kids. This is why Eric and Don Jr are such train wrecks. Donny's own parental style destroyed their ability to feel empathy or even interact with people on a personal level, just like their father.

Trump has lived his entire life seeing others as either subordinate people to be intimidated or controlled, or superiors who have power over him and he meekly obeys like his father or Putin. He's incapable of seeing anyone as an equal, this is why he failed as a politician and a diplomat, he could no longer use his wealth as leverage to intimidate the other players because they had equal power. No-one on the international or domestic scene took his threats seriously because they all knew he could never back them up. Trump tried to sit at the big boys table, when he found they had the power to rebuff him, he threw tantrums.

It's because of this last point, his inability to process anyone as equal to himself is the cause of why I really feel pity towards Donald Trump. It's not just that he's never had a real wife, not even that he's never had a real girlfriend who's liked him for who he is... It's worse... He's never had a friend, not one person in his life has given him a complement or said anything nice about him and meant it, a life devoid of human contact and real appreciation... And Trump knows this.

Whilst I'm no Don Juan and there won't be 1000's of people at my funeral, I know all of them will be there because they appreciated me. Every single person at Donny's funeral will be there solely to check that he's actually dead.

Of any of the above, I am definitely not jealous.

Nope his kids are constantly seeking his approval, apart from Ivanka, his favourite. It totally explains Eric and Donald Jnrs behaviour

They are constantly seeking approval from their father, it's quite sad really. trump's women issues clearly stems from his relationship with his mother who dominated him. He's scared of powerful women, can't cope with them, which is why he has to seek power over them, to control them, because mostly he's frightened of them. It explains all the sexual assaults, the paying for women, this need to show some power over women.

The strength trump does have is his ability to grift, to persuade others do do his bidding, giving his a distance from wrong doing. Whether thats fraudulent deals, tax returns, money laundering, foreign policy, there's been so many people in his orbit that are prepared do do his bidding that there must be some character trait there that people find appealing.

Ok, he mostly surrounded himself with people with similar criminal morals, so it's easier if they are along for the ride, promised large money, and that was forthcoming. $420K as the final amount Cohen got for paying off Stormy, the $20k a day for Giuliani, the money Mannafort, Flynn, Stone etc was making in his orbit.

trumps had years of surrounding himself with yes men, not being told he was wrong, which is why he was such a disasterous president, sacking anyone who explained he wasn't allowed to do things - he wasn't used to that, then surrounding himself again with yes men, actively enabled by the corrupt GOP who would do anything to be in power. Strange to think that Jeff Sessions, actually stood up to trump for quite a while before he was sacked and replaced by a lackey, although trump loved him because it's claimed the Child Seperation was his policy (although I suspect Miller was involved)

Speaking of damaged goods, willing to do anything..

The Department of Defense inspector general has issued a scathing review of Rep. Ronny Jackson during his time serving as the top White House physician, concluding that he made "sexual and denigrating" comments about a female subordinate, violated the policy for drinking alcohol while on a presidential trip and took prescription-strength sleeping medication that prompted concerns from his colleagues about his ability to provide proper care.

The findings outlined in the report, which was obtained by CNN prior to its expected release on Wednesday, stem from a years-long IG investigation into Jackson -- who currently represents Texas in the House of Representatives and sits on the House Armed Services subcommittee overseeing military personnel -- that was launched in 2018 and examines allegations that date back to his time serving during the Obama and Trump administrations. Members of Congress were briefed on the IG report findings on Tuesday, according to two sources familiar with the matter.

The report also notes that the investigation into Jackson "was limited in scope and unproductive" as White House counsel under Trump insisted on being present at all interviews of current White House Medical Unit employees, which had a "potential chilling effect" on the probe.
"We determined that the potential chilling effect of their presence would prevent us from receiving accurate testimony," the report states, adding that fieldwork stopped for about 10 months, between October 11, 2018, and August 22, 2019, as the Department of Defense inspector general and White House counsel determined whether the White House would invoke executive privilege, which they ultimately did not do.

Always handy having blackmail material on someone you want to pass you as the fittest president ever...

Remember he claimed: President Donald Trump is in “excellent” physical and cognitive health, according to his physician Dr. Ronny Jackson, who shared the results of Trump’s first physical at a press conference Tuesday.

“It is called genetics ... ” Jackson said. “Some people have just great genes. I told the president that if he had a healthier diet over the last 20 years, he might live to be 200 years old.”

FBI Director Christopher Wray testified before the Senate on the January 6th domestic terror attack, putting to rest the GOP claims it was Antifa

“We have not, to date, seen any evidence of Anarchist violent extremists or people subscribing to Antifa in connection with the 6th.”
Wray also said the FBI had arrested more than 270 people in regards to the attack.

Edit:
Interestingly, when it was Josh Hawley’s turn to speak, he asked Wray about what cellphone evidence the FBI had gathered from the January 6th attack. Hawley also tried to make the case that banking records were turned over to the FBI illegally.

It's almost as if he was asking what evidence they had against him. Remember, he was one of the US senators who led the effort to object to the electoral college results on 6th January, spent the previous month on TV interviews, was praised by trump before the crowd on 6th Jan, pumped up the crowd...

No evidence for the widespread right-wing lie that Antifa members disguised themselves as Trump supporters for the riot...but the feds have just charged a Trump supporter who allegedly said he was disguising himself as an Antifa member.

South Carolinian William Robert Norwood III is facing federal charges after allegedly telling a family member he assaulted and stole gear from police officers during the Capitol riot.

"I'm dressing in all black," Norwood wrote under the name "Robbie" on January 5, the day before the riot and insurrection, according to text messages cited in an FBI affidavit. "I'll look just like ANTIFA. I'll get away with anything."
After the riot on January 6, additional text messages obtained by the FBI show Norwood claimed he tested his theory.

The House has reissued a subpoena to Donald Trump's accounting firm and laid out a schedule to pursue his finances in court that could stretch deep into 2021.

Congressional investigators fighting to access former President Donald Trump’s financial records are planning for a lengthy battle that stretches deep into 2021, according to a proposed legal schedule unveiled by House counsel Doug Letter on Tuesday.

In a filing on Tuesday with the federal District Court in D.C., Letter revealed that the House Oversight Committee had reissued a subpoena for Trump’s accounting firm, Mazars USA, late last month. And he outlined a briefing and argument schedule — already agreed to by Trump’s legal team — that would carry the case into June, with a decision unlikely before mid-summer. Any appeals by either Trump or the House could extend that timeline much further.

Letter’s filing is the first window into the House’s plans for a lengthy slog in a battle that has already stretched two years in federal courts. Democrats say they need access to Trump’s records — which they suspect will show improper foreign ties and potential conflicts of interest — in order to craft financial disclosure legislation to restrain future administrations. But the effort also has renewed relevance after Trump reemerged over the weekend, vowing vengeance upon his political adversaries and pledging to retain his stranglehold on GOP politics.

Under Letter’s schedule, Trump’s first brief would be due April 5, with the committee’s reply a month later. Additional briefs would be filed on May 19 and June 2. Oral argument would be scheduled “as soon as practicable” after that.

Excellent! I think you'll find it's 'wattle' BTW, but given the Orange ones alleged nappy needs, then waddle is probably also appropriate.

Attorneys for Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS) and the NAACP have served former President Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago club with a lawsuit filed against him in February.

Thompson and the NAACP filed suit against Trump alleging that his incendiary rhetoric and false claims of a “stolen” election amounted to a conspiracy to interfere with civil rights by inciting the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol.

The suit names Trump alongside his attorney Rudy Giuliani and the right wing extremist groups, the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers, as co-defendants and builds off the 1871 “Ku Klux Klan Act,” which was “intended to protect against conspiracies, through violence and intimidation, that sought to prevent Members of Congress from discharging their official duties,” according to a complaint.

I'm fearful that the US will apply a great deal of fudge so as not to appear the Banana Republic that it really is!

Joke country, propped up by it's own spending.

The Manhattan district attorney is delving deeply into the personal and financial affairs of the chief financial officer for former president Donald Trump’s company, probing the extent of Allen Weisselberg’s loyalty to Trump and scrutinizing a Trump-owned apartment once occupied by Weisselberg’s son, according to people familiar with the investigation.

This questioning is now led by a former mob prosecutor, and one person familiar with the investigation said it is aimed at “flipping” Weisselberg — attempting to turn one of Trump’s longest-serving and most important aides into a witness against him.

Cyrus R. Vance Jr. (D), Manhattan’s top prosecutor, has not formally accused anyone of wrongdoing, including Trump, Weisselberg or the latter’s family. But the focus on Weisselberg underscores the depth and ambition of Vance’s inquiry, a criminal investigation broader than any Trump’s company is known to have faced before.

Vance’s focus on Weisselberg has included questions related to two of his adult children, a tactic that could be an effort to increase pressure on the elder Weisselberg. One of Weisselberg’s sons also works for the Trump Organization, where he manages the company’s Central Park ice rinks. Another Weisselberg son works for a company that has extended loans to the Trump Organization.

Anyone catch much of the CPAC? I missed the actual festivities and only just catching up now. What an absolute stshow.

Overly white supremacist speakers getting standing ovations
A stage shaped like a Nazi rune
Plenty of QAnon drivel
A golden Trump statue that was made in China

It's like a microcosm of his entire presidency in one event.
