Were those secret service agents of an age and comorbidity profile likely to put them at risk of harm from Covid, or is the pudding being over-egged?

Certainly there's an argument that being infected, they could then go on to infect the vulnerable (that would not be good at all), but to claim they themselves were at risk doesn't ring true.
Yes. Younger, fitter people are at lower risk of death, but can still get significant, long term, effects.

trumps revenge tour kicked off yesterday, because of course it's a good money spinner for him and his ego needs to be heard. He starting in Ohio where he attacked Anthony Gonzales because he voted to impeach him.

https://us.cnn.com/2021/06/26/politics/trump-rally...

The usual stuff full of lies untruths and slurs and also full of misspeak, mixing things up, mumbling.

Best place to look is: https://twitter.com/Acyn for video clips

trump also had Marjorie Taylor Greene there who took the time to attack AOC calling her a little communist, said locking her up is a good idea and claimed she isn't an American. Ah birtherism again..
https://twitter.com/i/status/1408925252181127168

Remember it's not even two weeks yet that she had to visit the Holocaust Memorial Museum and apologise and is now again talking about stripping political opponents of their nationality whilst claiming communism

This is the modern GOP under trump, lies, racism, stirring up tensions

Propublica have an investigation showing that trump and the WH knew the 6 Jan rally and insurrection attempt would get violent. Text messages and interviews show that the rally organisers put in by team trump, welcomed racists to increase their crowd sizes, worked to minisimise the polce presence and how the WH staff worked with them

Former federal prosecutor Daniel Goldman said that the trump org being charged/indicted would be a death blow, and expects if it happens for Banks to call in their loans, worried they wouldn't get any payments, pushing trump into another bankrupcy as he hasn't the money to serive all his loans.

https://hillreporter.com/criminal-indictments-woul...

trumps standard approach to cases he brings is to throw lawyers at the problem and try to beat down the smaller person. With cases against him his standard MO is to string it out as long as possible. Both these approaches cost a lot of money, we know trump has complained about how the many cases raised against him is costing him huge amounts.

Take away the trump org and trump loses all or most of his income. No wonder he's pushing the politics, starting rallies again, as grifting his supporters, taking donations (including foreign hidden through his super pacs) has proved lucrative in the past to move into his company (and his pocket) but this is possibly could be his only source of income in the future.

You will have to forgive poor recollection of the minutiae (so much has happened) but why aren't Cruz & other fawning Trump devotee's/ co conspirators being relentlessly investigated under savage legal pressure? The evidence, circumstancial, percieved or otherwise is overwhelming, the stench of wrongdoing is absolutely overwhelming. Surely every last one of them should be staring at the inside of a tiny Cell by now or in the very near future? HOW do they continue to get away with it??

So much to do,over 500 people arrested over the capitol insurrection attempt already. I think they are picking off the lower fruit first, jail the most violent of trump supporters both to get them out the way and to send a message, before they go after those that caused it, those that demanded it, those that oranised it.

Imagine if you had all those people around (and others) and you went after team trump first, he would just call for a repeat, we know that from how many of them are testifying that "trump told us to do it"

Is this Barr panicking now we know the House are investigating how much he weaponised the DOJ for trump.

Barr has given an interview to the Atlantic, claiming it wasn't him, he fought against trumps fraud claims
https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2021/...

Remember this is the same Barr that shut down investigations, opened others into ridiculous claims, spent the summer in Italy trying to manufacture dirt against Biden, and asked other allies such as Australia and the UK to do the same, the one who organised the tear gassing of protestors for trumps church photo op...

Edit: more evidence this was Barr trying to rewrite history
Remember the first sentence of his resignation letter, which says “voter fraud allegations…will continue to be pursued,” which makes everything he says in that piece all lies.

Why don't journalists call him out on this - are they that eager for a story?

In this article Barr says he has further documentation Trump tried to overturn the election. The House investigation need to act on this immediately as does Georgia AG and their criminal investigation. This is documentation by a direct witness that Trump tried to overturn the election and his Attorney General telling Trump at the time his allegations of election fraud were false (as written in this article by Barr).

Remember, today's the day that trumps lawyers have as a deadline to make arguments why the Trump Organization should not face criminal charges in New York...

Every time they charge someone then it's another nail in the coffin for those implicit in it's organisation. It'll be a lot easier to charge/convict the organisers if the prosecution can point at a bunch of convicted rioters who all claim that they were egged on (even told) to do it by the instigators.

This could be an interesting week.

Weisselberg is still insisting he won’t cooperate, but unlike Manafort, Bannon, and Stone who also knew all of trumps dirty little election secrets, Weisselberg hasn't been promised a pardon - or if he has it's worthless. Manafort, Bannon, and Stone all believed trump would pardon them (and he did) provided they didn't tell, allowing themselves to be criminally convicted, probably because they were in it as much as he was,

But here’s what else they all have in common: they all did it because they knew Trump would end up pardoning them in return. But trump Org CFO Allen Weisselberg isn’t getting pardoned, trump didn’t pardon him, if there's a 'secret pardon' it doesn't count as these are State charges, trump could only issue a Federal pardon... Weisselberg and two of his sons are targetted. Is he really going to stay quiet and possibly see his family jailed, spend the rest of his life in jail. Look what the short time did to Manafort and he knew he was getting a pardon.

trumps one true skill the art of the con, making people believe him...

Trump has already released a statement claiming Bill Barr is a RINO and claimed he failed to look at all the election cheating.

Remember its everyone else's fault he lost.

I think it was just my frustration & disgust talking, your explanation has been theorised here many times before. It was just the frustration of seeing those directly responsible & accountable carrying on as normal, sinking ever lower, getting worse, seemingly without any penalty or legal ramification. A touch of Red mist on my part perhaps.

According to Simon Marks Trump org lawyers confirm meetings with prosecutors and expect criminal charges against the organisation imminently.

That will be the reason behind the rally.

Giuliani has realised trump won't bail him out on his legal defence so has started a legal defense fund.
Remember Giuliani is under investigation by the SDNY, is being sued by Dominion, and had his law license suspended last week.

Bernard B. Kerik
@BernardKerik
In an attempt to assist ⁦@RudyGiuliani⁩ to defend himself from frivolous lawsuits, a weaponized Justice Department, and the New York Bar, we have created the Rudy Giuliani Freedom Fund. This is the official Defense Fund for this American Patriot. https://rudygiulianifreedomfund.com
https://twitter.com/BernardKerik/status/1408830060...

Interesting chap if you look him up on wikipedia - “In 2009, Kerik pleaded guilty in the Southern District of New York to eight federal felony charges; in February 2010, he was sentenced to four years in federal prison.”

Time for Rudy to use that 'insurance' he said he had... biggrin
