It all went HORRIBLY wrong! Can anyone give me a quick catch up of the last 11 volumes ?
If you are looking from a point of view of someone in august 2015 I agree.
If you are looking from the point of view of someone in November 2015, it went exactly as expected. It was horrible, and could yet get worse (don’t forget, this is the man who, no matter how low you set your expectations, confounds them) but still, we expect horrible.

The fact that so many people think like this (the other side is the enemy) is frightening. The most frightening bit for me is how some extreme right groups have captured so many people in to thinking that moderate liberals who just want everyone to be respected as people are somehow evil and that calling out discrimination is somehow oppression.
Interesting to look back at Volume 1, where did it all go wrong? https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

Don't get me wrong, Trump has done a lot of bad things.
Previous volumes of this thread have been hyperbolic, paranoid, maniacal at times, with all sorts of accusations thrown around, witch-hunts, insults, abuse. A lot of talk about left and right, instead of right and wrong, good or bad.
It indicates that some of the negativity being thrown at Trump comes from a place of resentment that exists in people already because they're quite tribal and protective about their left-wing identity.
Some people treat it like a battle and those people will always be there on the tip of both wings.
I despise DJT, and have for five years, but Tom Walker manages to articulate all of my feelings and leave me looking like Im still on the fence.
Good lad.

Excellent..."What sort of sh!t white supremacist makes himself look tangerine?"
I’ve been on this thread for a long time so hopefully I don’t just get immediately shot down. I remain thinking globally Trump was better than Clinton, I believe that the situation (due to lack of effort) with Syria is better and than he genuinely made middle America feel better off. Even a poll on the election put him miles ahead 6 months ago. I think he’s an idiot - but he’s a dangerous one right now.
