GOP are now trying to kill the infrastructure bill, despite trump saying a huge spend was needed when he was campaigning

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-07-30...

As Republican Sen. Rob Portman put it trump wasn't able to del with the US infrastructure issues, despite having many 'infrastructure weeks' golfing or grifting, even when the GOP had full control of the House and Senate.

This explains the weird tweet by Giuliani over the weekend that he was more than willing to go to heaven and that those that put him there would have to answer for it in heaven...

Seems Giuliani is upset that trump is raising all that money and using none of it to help pay his defence, Giuliani just realising he's been dropped like a hot potato, whilst Giuliani is almost broke.

Team trump is also claiming that Trump can’t pay Rudy’s legal bills without creating legal problems for trump and that Giuliani took actions that a lawyer should have known were problematic, i.e. dropping him in it, whilst saying it's nothing to do with trump.

Time to start cutting that deal Rudy. Cohen warned you and you didn't listen...

As McCarthy tries to blame anyone but trump or the GOP for the 6 Jan insurrection attempt, Eric Swalwell makes the very good point that why did McCarthy only call trump to call it off on the day.

https://twitter.com/RepSwalwell/status/14219490354...

Remember at the time, McCarthy said trump was responsible but would oppose impeachment

The Atlantic has excerpts from Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman's book on trumps impeachment call with Ukraines President Zelensky, how Giuliani, Ambassador Gordon Sondland and then-chief of staff Mick Mulvaney cooked up the plan to get Ukraine blamed for the russian hacking, for blackmailing Ukraine into manufacturing dirt on Biden...

The background, the previous attempts, it's all there, detailing trumps crime that the GOP refuse to impeach him for...

Well, he says he is, but then he also says he will be reinstated on 13th August...
Meanwhile the grift continues and people have given him $82m...
Amazingly, and as nobody could have possibly predicted, the $82 million was a lie. Who would have guessed?!

They counted money they transferred between PACs as donations to inflate the number and make it seem more impressive.
and yet still the grift goes on...

One trump PAC, Save America, spent $68,425.16 on Trump hotel properties in the first six months of the year.
The trump super PAC, Make America Great Again Action, spent $21,810.47 for an event at Bedminster.
trump PAC, MAGA PAC, spent $202,708.35 on Trump properties (in rent).
The trump-Graham Majority Fund, which held a golf event, paid a Trump property another $22,217.68

Sounds like he is scraping the bottom of the barrel either to pay for his upcoming legal bills or to squirrel away for life after GOP knowing his brand is becoming more and more toxic to all but the most culty cult members of the tangerine toddler

I found somewhere that broke down how team trump fudged the figures, transfering between funds to make him look more sucessful.

trump PAC, Make America Great Again Action Inc., received a $250,000 check from Kelly Loeffler in May 2021. Did she want trumps backing for a run at some position?

Is it worth pointing out that billionaires don't need to be worried about tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars? Arguably millions either?

All this grubby money grifting really does give the impression the Trump family are paper billionaires only. I'd take a guess that their outgoings exceed their income by some margin so in effect they're broke.

or they are obsessed with money as a measure of their value. We know trump inflates his worth, has done several times. We know he is accused of inflating values to get loans but deflating to pay taxes...

GQP are determined to make Biden's administration a failure, regardless of the cost to the US.

I wonder when that will become obvious to their voters, and whether their voters care.

Trump isn't a successful businessman, he just plays one on TV.

McConnell thought he could use the same strategy he used against Obama of block anything, but the Republican party isn't what it was. trump has splintered it into a bunch of opportunists, and after 7 months McConnell has suddenly realised they are actually just affecting their radical voters, whilst everyone is getting angry at the unvaccinated.
https://edition.cnn.com/2021/07/31/us/vaccinated-a...

It's backfired on them significantly, which is why McConnel is now spending his own campaign money to push vaccines,
https://www.kentuckytoday.com/stories/mcconnell-us...

why Fox have sometimes changed tack (even though others like Hannity, Pirro, Carlson still push the trump line)

far from people getting upset at Biden, actually people are upset at the GOP for increasing the infection rate - again...

Another good analysis of why GOP are anti vaccine... listing 4 reasons
https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2021-07...

thats if we ignore Mo Brooks who calls them experimental, and that masks endanger the health of those who wear them...

The bit team trump tried to hide by announcing a large figure for donations is that it appears that trump's fundraising slowed month by month until in June he raised just $2.6 million online, almost entirely through recurring donations. By July they've had to stop any withdrawals...

Meanwhile the scams/grifts are being investigated over asking donors to fork out to fund contesting the election results, then using to to pay undisclosed debts

Ah Rabid anti vaxxer and Insurrection party Ron Johnson is bigging up a rampant anti-vaxxer who encouraged his followers to contract Covid and only got suspended from Twitter after he started repeatedly telling Holocaust jokes and the Auschwitz memorial reported him after responding.

According to Johnson this is unfair as he is a courageous voice of reason...
https://twitter.com/SenRonJohnson/status/142218291...

I beg to differ...

Mind you this is Ron Johnson still pushing the anti covid measures of the GOP, who just the other day said he'd support a vaccine for a deadly virus, just not Covid
https://www.businessinsider.com/johnson-vaccine-ma...

Fact check on his claims by CNN

Trump does appear to be more of a paper billionaire; he leverages his assets to obtain cash but that’s getting harder and harder. A convenient bucket of dosh must be really useful given his situation.
